As with all the previous games I put a wide reciever in at FB in the I, Strong and Weak formations. You gain a mismatch on a linebacker.

In the Dime put your fastest conerback in the 4 slot on the depth chart. I forget what the play is called but your dime backs blitz, you will either get pressure or sack the quarterback on all passing plays.

Anyone found the HB Direct from the shotgun in the 360 version? That was one of my favorites and I've yet to see it in the playbooks.

i think they took it out because people were abusing it in online play.

next time you have fourth and short and you have to punt do the tight punt run. i have done it three times and got over 30 yards every time.

i haven't played too much yet... but!

WR screen from some shotgun formation where he looks like he's going out then comes back and three linemen block way up field, is a heckuva play
i'll try to find the name.. only times i've been able to find it is luck of the draw with asking corso and it being on the same page

i've run it 3 times (2 meachem td's over 25 yards, and another 68 yard meachem run after catch that wasn't a td)

something i haven't seen anyone mention...

On kickoff returns--> REVERSE return, and fake reverse returns... i like that, had one fake reverse actually catch them off gaurd and went down the sideline to the 45 yard line

you can also do reverse and fake reverse on punt returns, but it hasn't worked once for me

and i am yet to block a punt or field goal or PAT... what was the trick on that again? i'm not even really that close?

The impact players for the first season are set already.

Rocky Top NCDB, I don't think there is a trick to it. It has just happened to me a couple of times. I didn't really do anything special.

the jump snap feature helps a lot. right when they snap the ball press Y. it will do it every now and then with out it.

on the 360... i go to the key players menu and select chris brown. PA TE corner is an unstoppable play! i love it!

Go into strong normal and use the running back cross play. Put a wide receiver in at fullback and you will dominate the linebackers with Foster and whomever your wide out is that you put in.

Also, this play should be your main audible play. If the safties move up to stop the run you have two outlets to go deep. If the safties come up and double your wide outs you have the middle open for your tightend or the wr/fb and hb.

Furthermore, check out the Shotgun spread formation. I believe the play is called wheels/cross? or something simliar to that.

Lucas Taylor at the 4 spot has an advantage over any corner or safety that will attempt to cover him.

The easist run plays are from the I-normal formation. The simple isolation will get you 4-5 yards a carry every time you use the play. For a big time run use I-normal and go to misdirection. Motion your receiver to the right over to the left side and that should bring the corner with him. Assuming you get past the initial rush of the dt and de your angle will allow you to beat the linebacker and then you have one safety to beat for a huge gain.

You main run audible should be I-normal isolation.

Tinker with your audibles and personel changes because that is how you gain mismatches. For example put tight ends in for wide receivers or vice versa and call a play with four wide outs, but you have tight ends in, and then audible to a run play. You already have the computer at a disadvantage because they now have dime backs in at linbacker. Just little stuff like that.

Because we were out yesterday afternoon and evening I was only able to play one game because I had to set up my play book and audibles.

I played Florida on All American and Ainge finished 24-32 for 374 yards and 4 touchdowns and no interceptions.
I caught Taylor on that Shotgun play for 4 catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns.

Foster led the way with 27 carries for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Great game, I am still getting used to kicking but I think this may be easier than previous years controls.

Personally, I feel that tactics like putting a wide receiver in at running back and putting in tight ends at wide receiver in four-wide sets in order to gain mismatches is garbage because it's totally unrealistic. It's also unnecessary. It's easy to run up the score in these games without resorting to stuff like that.

That is nice :banghead: .............If someone is having trouble with their passing game those tips I laid out will help them out. I was just trying to help those people out.

With or without the substitutions I can drop 70 on the computer on Heisman on its highest levels.......they asked for tips and tricks and I gave them.

Sorry I was making a video game unrealistic...................That soap box pretty high? :dance2:

*Yes I am being silly........ :air_kiss:

You might have a coronary knowing I start Jared Hostetter over Turk McBride too......the madness! Actaully it is because I am from Kentucky and I love having Kentucky kids on the UT roster..........

It is a video game....it is a video game..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I was playing the other day and we had them pinned inside their own five yard line. My outside corner on the line (Punt Block) broke threw and got to the punter with plenty of time until he kicked. I jumped up to block it and the punter stopped, threw it to a reciever and they gained like 40 something yards.

you guys want to have some real fun? redesign your playbook. i am currently in a dynasty running a very nice book consisting of various pistol formations, shotgun flex and 5 wide, strong and weak i's and i normal. i think i have a rarely used ace in there too. and the flexbone. here's where it gets fun though.

the pistol is amazing for whatever you want to run, and since you can sub in players per formation, just experiment, your passing game will improve guaranteed. there is a slant play where (at least with my team), meachem will run a quick curl and is open 90 percent of the time, just because no one can cover robert meachem on a curl.

the flexbone has some good passing plays out of it too, including one where if you line monterio hardest up at WB he will run up the sideline and outrun just about anyone. running the fullback out of the flexbone certainly keeps the defense honest, but i can't recommend too many option plays with ainge. (go figure, ha!)

five wide in the shotgun gives you the oppurtunity to take advantage of your lesser used receiver, slick shelley in particular is a beast.

im telling you guys, these expanded playbooks effin rock.

Yep, I spent a lot of time making a playbook, but it was worth it.

I'm in my second Dynasty year and Meachem is a freaking beast. If he's even half the player this year in real life he is on this game, he's going to have a great year.

i am having trouble with my passing defense. my friend has a ton of time to throw each time he takes the snap. some people here seem good so i want some advice.

how can i keep him from having easy completions. he uses michigan. he loves running streaks and this play called smash corners, where 2 of his recievers are alwasy wide at the corners. he doesnt actually drive down the field, he just goes long and scores on bombs. he does this almost every drive. it doesnt help that his qb has time to roll out, take his time, and wait until his recievers are wide open. they are very fast and hard to stick with. i need some help keeping the qb from rolling out and taking his time and i need help keeping his recievers from getting wide open. do you have any advice on how to cover him?

right now, i can get away with it usually, because his defense is terrible. when i play online, i doubt i get so lucky for that top happen. i need to tighten up.
