will Channing Fugate ever see the field again?

To respond to both of your questions...

1. What you can do is get with your coaches in the film room and on your own to make sure you know your assignments.

2. Fugate is still learning how to be a LB in addition to learning the system. He will be used on Special Teams and only at LB if someone goes down in front of him.

not sure I agree with this - I think it is actually the exact opposite - we finally have depth at every position on the field (possible exception at LB) once the new guys arrive

what we need to find is that elite talent that can come in and put their mark on a game and make the plays to win it - i think we have a few guys that can step up and be that but noone has consistently proven it on the D yet

Guess I should have said not a ton of quality SEC-talent depth. We have a lot of SEC-talent starters IMO. Maybe not every position.

But AJJ Maggit couch sentimore Randolph would be major players on most if not all rosters And then prob lathers Coleman could possibly be tossed on that category. And we have great potential guys like McNeil bonner and McCullers coming in too I think we have talent but a major injury or two might sink us.

I'm surprised there isn't more hype about Waggner, in the past when he has gotten to focus on corner he has really shined especially in the second half of 2010 when he was making all those interceptions

Where was Toney playing in the Orange and White? Safety? He knocked someones helmet off and made at least 3 tackles. Looked good IMO...hope he can be solid depth.

I also think if we stay healthy we can have the 5th or 6th best defense in the SEC. Top 25 nationally. Many here on VN forget the defense was on the field for 75% of the clock last year. We held bama, lsu, and uga to 7 pts. Or less at halftime. Go Vols
