7. Tennessee: The Vols generated a lot of internal momentum after a convincing bowl win over Nebraska, and Butch Jones was happy with his 2017 signing class. Jones signed the top player in the country in offensive tackle Trey Smith and helped a thin defensive line by collecting five defensive linemen. Lots of five-star hearts to go around.

3rd in the East behind FL and GA.

Yeah...the rating on Fox Sports 1 and NBC Sports are much better

Subscription numbers are rapidly falling for ESPN. ESPN used to be about sports; now it's a little bit of sports with a lot of gibberish and political agendas. Fox Sports 1 and NBC Sports suck, too. What's your point?

Momentum, positive or negative, after a bowl game is a myth. There's no correlation between a signing class or the next year and a bowl game.

Saying ESPN numbers are dropping is about like saying NFL rating are dropping and comparing them to other sports.

We just don't like ESPN because they don't gush over mediocre teams.

Maybe that's why you don't like them. I don't like them because of the reasons that I previously stated.

I dont watch ESPN anymore except for the broadcast of games. No more sportscenter, etc. Just a political agenda for the left.

But they have 5 star hearts which matter much much more

I know Butch deserves much of the criticism he gets for the stuff he says and I have been one to grow tired of it but, in the end, I would rather have the 5-star selfless hearts of Colton Jumper, John Kelly, Derek Barnett, etc. compared to say a Preston Williams. 5-star talent with a 3-star heart. How much did his 5-star talent help us compared to what Colton Jumper gave us when we needed someone to step up? Been a lot of players over the years who overachieved and succeeded because of their inner drive to compete and win.

OK. Off my soapbox.

same here, but heck, I watch games with the sound off as not to clutter my focus on the game itself...then, when they go to commercials, I go to another game until my original game comes back on...:):)

GO VOLS!

Agree 100%. I don't even watch SportsCenter anymore after 30 years, ever. The ONLY thing I'll watch are select live games, and even then I have to endure the Marxist claptrap on the news crawl at the bottom of the screen.
