Nothing wrong with a stud freshmen RB being your backup. Ty Chandler would be good enough to start almost anywhere else in the country.
Actually Butch agrees with me, hence his desire for Akers.
But he failed. We do not have SEC quality depth at RB and Butch is 4 years in.
But keep making excuses, lifelong attribute I'm sure.
You think that recruiting one of the most wanted backs in the nation
Only happens if you haven't recruited well in the past???
Lol, wow.
So Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, FSU and every other school that recruited him and another back, failed at recruiting the last several years?
I can't even respond... just wow.
Sorry if comprehension is difficult for you.
Butch knows his depth at rb is horrid and he really needed Akers or something close to him.
But....Butch failed. Again.
Your understanding is definitely superior.
Only a guru such as yourself can fully comprehend that you only recruit the top players if you're desperate.
Wouldn't make any sense to do so any other time.
Bring the facts.
How many returning yards do we have after Kelly?
Come on, quit stalling. Show me the depth.
Is it a little weird to accuse me of stalling considering you never asked me to provide until now?
Anyway, I haven't looked up cfa's yardage. But I know Joe Young getting permanently injured and Hurd quitting, isn't Butch's failure. And you do realize it's very normal to only have one back with a lot of yardage return each year correct? Then your third string back with limited yardage, returns as your second string back?
Do you even watch football?
Correct, Kendrick held down LT for 119 until Richmond could play on 120. Did a decent job even though it was not his natural position. On WR- i would expect to see Bryd, Smith at the same time in some set, CBJ likes those slot type guy and would also think Callaway will start.
O line, i think Richmond starts as well, maybe along with Smith. I thought Kendrick was gone?
On D, Tuttle will start if he is healthy.
TK will stay at safety.
Dude you said the 2016 Vols were one of the most talented Vols teams in like 20 years. And that team barely managed 9 wins. Then you have said that because we lost Sutton, Dobbs and Calvin Johnson, I mean Jalen Hurd, that there is no way we can be that good in 2017. 2016 was going to be the first 15-0 team that is loaded with first round NFL picks. Now this team in 2017 has a championship roster? Yeah, whatever.

That defensive backfield, is very disheartening to say the least.
I don't watch it the way you do, like a kid watching fireworks.
My point was he has developed no depth and then failed to secure what he needed to in this class. If you disagree, prove me wrong. You're allowed to do that without having it spelled out for you.
Not correct......Again.....our opponents......Bama, UGA, and LSU will all bring back a stable of more than 1 returning back. Which is not what we are doing.
Big time recruiters get 2 backs of note, when returning such little production.
Really. So Butch has created depth at RB? Doesn't look like it to me.
After Kelly, how many returning yards do we have at the position?
There are several 2017 talent topics going around comparing experience and recruiting stars but I'm curious of one thing. How many of these guys would start for another good SEC team? I'm not being smart by any means. Literally how many positions do we have where we can definitively say yeah, that LB would start at FL. That Tackle at GA. That RB at AL etc? Comparing stars and familiar faces is interesting but until we have 6-8 or whatever guys on both sides of the ball that would have a legitimate chance to start at another program...it's tough to expect competitiveness. With 11 on the field and throw in the 2 kickers, how many of our 24 would be starters at FL, GA, AL, LSU, T&m...?

Yep. Also, dont forget about him trashing Dobbs and the rest of the team.
