That isn't the reason why the nation didn't want to go to war. Isolationism was a powerful foreign policy after WWI, so Roosevelt simply didn't have the backing or the support to jump into war. Not saying I disagree with your theory that Roosevelt knew beforehand, but you are wrong that it was a result of his "liberal New Deal" ideas were not working. He had no choice but to side with China and cut off trade with Japan, thus provoking them to attack.

His crap liberal "shovel ready" ideas were bombing and he knew that the war would creat jobs immediately through manufacturing so he allowed the base to be bomed because we were an Isolationist country at the time and it was the only way to get us in. We only went to war with Germany because we were at war with Japan.

See what Shovel ready jobs get you.

he could have easily allowed the base to remain defendable and stopped Pearl Harbor from happening. At least, this would have delayed us going into war. He didn't. And the call was intercepted. And they did know what it meant.

Wow. Just wow. Last I checked the people flying the planes weren't exactly Christians.



I understand what you're getting at but the two are not the same. They also happened more than 60 years apart.

Now, do I believe leaders will throw a small group of people under the bus without blinking an eye if they believe it is what's best for their interest group ... yes.

I was joking. My point is that people look for conspiracies everywhere. Including Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Hey guys,

I heard on the radio about a week ago from Jimmy Hyams and this may have already been discussed and if it has, my apologies...But Hyams said he had talked to Dooley and Dooley said that he would expect more attrition after the season with players leaving the program...

Attrition has been a major factor to our 2-6 record and our 'kiddy pool' depth...

So my question to you guys, who do you see leaving the program to transfer to another school and how will attrition affect us this offseason...

I think the most obvious is David Oku, R.Neal has been getting most of the 2nd back carries and Oku has been nowhere to be found...

Greg King and Jerod Askew? Havent heard much from them as they came in as a herald recruits...Could be more not who they thought they were and just not able to get on the field...

Thoughts?

Askew won't leave unless they give him the boot for not trying.

King has been injured but is otherwise highly regarded by this staff.

I would think that guys like Mitchell-Thorton and Nelson who have not gotten as much PT with this staff as with the last might consider leaving.

There aren't many guys who can complain that they have not had a legit shot.
