I remember reading on Rivals(some free info) that some major talent are giving ND some serious thought. Anybody think they keep Wies to ensure that potential Blockbuster class then fire after next season or do him dirty and fire him day after Signing Day?
Notre Dames problem is they have top talent on offense and no talent on defense. I don't like Notre Dame at all, and I have to say it is even painful for me to watch their defense get drummed week in and week out. They have lost too Navy twice now in recent years.

Kelly will not be ND's next coach. Way too many skeletons in his closet.
As for ND their talent is greatly overated. Look at their defense. Pathetic. Look at their two starting safeties, two of the slowest, most unathletic safeties you will find anywhere in the country. #22 (McCarthy? Smith?) for them is one of the worst tacklers I've seen in college football. Not only can he not tackle but he is takes horrible tackle angle.
If their boosters are putting significant pressure on the university to make a change, it will happen. When Weis loses to Stanford this will be a done deal. They'll keep him for one reason...$$$$. I know Notre Dame is loaded but even they have limits. His buyout, plus at least another 3 million per year for a top-level coach is large.
