Possible Offensive Coordinator: Eric Bieniemy

He would be a good RB coach but not OC. He would be a better coach than Drayton.

Not a very good comparison...I could go down Magnolia and throw a whistle to anyone walking and they would be better suited to coach RB's over that quitter.

Bieniemy played on the Colorado NC team of '90. Heisman candidate and ran all over UT in the Pigskin Classic tie. 31-31 if I remember correctly.

For what it matters, he didn't play that game because he was suspended.

Yes, but anyone that's walking on Magnolia is either looking for some prostitutes, getting their smoke on, or hitching a bus out of Knoxville.

Eric Bieniemy has gotten a little bigger since his running backdays in the late 80's and early 90's at Colorado. If I remember correctly, he didn't get to play at all in that pigskin classic against Tennessee in 90 in Anaheim. What was the name of the guy that played in his place? He went on to play in the NFL as well. He was the number 2 back and he torched us that day.

As long as they can blow a whistle...grunt...and point to the A and B gap on command...they are good enough for me, and an improvement.

It was Mike Pritchard, who later went on to play wide receiver in the NFL, who ran all over our defense in that game. Colorado just moved him into Bieniemy's spot and went on as normal in their I-bone offense.

That game had some amazing talent in it, both on Colorado's side and ours.

It ended in a 31-all tie after Colorado's last man on defense managed to stop Chuck Webb on a long run; if Webb had been able to get by, we would have won the game 37-31 on what would have been about a 70-yard touchdown run on the final play.

On the fifth down play later that season against Missouri, Bieniemy was on the field, but it was backup QB Charles S. Johnson who scored the touchdown (or didn't quite make it, if you believe Mizzou fans). Johnson directed both that winning drive and Colorado's winning drive in the Orange Bowl against Notre Dame for their national co-championship, both times after Darian Hagan was injured.

I would rather see someone at OC who can coach QB. That's the biggest need on this staff.

The timekeeper cost us a play. We were somewhere around midfield-probably not quite in field goal range.
