A guy that i would look at if i was UT for OC is Eric Bieniemy (RB coach at Minnesota Vikings). He put together great rushing attacks at Colordado (chris brown), UCLA (maurice jones-drew), and now the Minnesota Vikings (Adrian Peterson and Chester taylor). He went to LSU so he knows his way around the SEC and he was even the recruiting coordinator at UCLA and was named by rivals.com as one of the top 25 recruiters so that would help....

your thoughts..??

Nice, But CLK said he was going to run the OC position him self, with just a line guy and possibaly a recievers coach, thats why he hired his dad so he can work on the Offense.

Bieniemy played on the Colorado NC team of '90. Heisman candidate and ran all over UT in the Pigskin Classic tie. 31-31 if I remember correctly.

True, but still being an OC for an SEC school (especially if UT is successful) will fast track you almost definetly to a college HC job and i'm sure Bieniemy knows that. Thats why i think the OC position is so interesting.

Just look at a guy like Dan Mullen, successful recruiter and OC who probably doesnt call his own plays (urban meyer most likely does) and look where he landed.

i'm almost POSITIVE he played for Colorado and beat UT's ass. In fact, I think he was involved in the famous "5th down" play.

Bieniemy was suspended for that game. The TB that ran all over us was Michael Pritchard, backup. Pritchard ended up a receiver in the NFL.

Why can't anyone ask me to answer a question like that for a million $?

suspended vs. the VOLS? But he was "Mr. 5th down" as someone else confirmed.

right, he was suspended for the first game of the season against us, then went on to have a great year, and was in on the 5th down play.
