Dont wanna read 9 pages so forgive me if this has been answered.
Can we greyshirt ANYONE to make room? Or is there someone we can release or is it too late to release someone?

I haven't read anything concrete except possibly our 2for4 options to schollies ratio assuming all make it in. Is that even accurate?

Personally, I love this and hope we land him. I'm just waiting on all the star-gazing, offer-mongers to come in here and whine about how he's "only" a 3-star, and has offers from mediocre and less-than mediocre schools. I say give him a look, kid could be really good and the Lord knows we need the O-line help. GBO

Because he told the kid days before fall camp that he didn't have a scholarship available for him. Messed up.

If he sticks with LSU, he must just bleed purple and yellow.... if I were him, I'd take the transfer while I could and come get immediate PT at UT.

we should def get him. he went to CTJ's highschool. i'd be suprised if he is even considering any other schools

The radio talk shows here in Baton Rouge are saying Porter would have to get a release from the NCAA to play immediately somewhere else. They say since he has been enrolled as a part time student at LSU this summer he would be considered a transfer. Miles has just released him from his LOI. Odds are he will accept the grey shirt since he is from BTR and always wanted to be a tiger - just got caught off guard with the request and didn't know how to react.

Based on an article on govolsxtra, sounds like we wouldn't have room for him if he is not considered a transfer. They state that we only have 2 spots available for the 4 guys - Brown, Loften, Dixon & Jackson, yet to qualify. Which one of those do you take with Brown if they all 4 qualify?
