Not too confusing if you keep in mind these few basics:

SEC Rule: Can not accept more than 28 signed LOIs per year.

NCAA rules: Can only have 85 on scholly. Can only enroll 25 new scholly players per year. Can backcount if you enrolled less than 25 the previous year. (Consider that some from the prior year may have been backcounted to the year before that, meaning there may actually be room to backcount when at first glance it doesn't appear that way.)

Transfers: Juco players count just like HS players as signees & enrollees against the SEC & NCAA limits. Transfers from other 4-year schools do not count against the class size limits.

I think all that stuff about UT's Scholly #s was at about the time y'all were figuring out how many USC transfers UT had room to take. I believe there may have been a separate thread discussing the scholly #'s situation.

Look Brown would be awesome, but even with untimed tests for all his classes I do not think he is making it in. He and T Henry and Morley would be a good celebrity jeopardy for SNL though.

we have these last 4 get eligible, we have same issue except we will be 2 over the limit... 3 if we take porter

maybe we could greyshirt Nash Nance to make some room. Supposedly his parents are pretty well off, right?. There's gotta be one other dude we could greyshirt if we need to get Brown and Porter onboard.

we only have 3 QBs. 2 have to prepare every week for offensive game plan. need a 3rd to prepare defense for the opponent. he grey shirts, he can't practice.

means we try and make it this year with 2 QBs behind a poor offensive line.

don't like those odds
