I would take Gus over Strong anyday and twice on sunday...The guy is a brilliant offensive genius...Get himself a good DC and the sky is the limit.

A good DC and 3 or 4 Recruiting monsters, I think he would do well. Not sure how he would handle to off field HC duties.

I think the $$ would be reason we would not go after Strong. If your going to go after CS, your going to have to pay him Peterson/Patterson money(4 million) and I don't think he is worth that right now. If we settle on a non splash, lower budget hire I think it is Kirby Smart.

It was said that Smart was Hart's first choice, but the acrimony built up around the program has left most people believing that we need a top flight, 1st tier coach this time. If, and a big IF, the administration can get out of its own way and allow the hiring of a big name coach.

I am not sure what world you live in but I doubt you would come across very many parents who have not cheated, been cheated on, or is very close to someone who has. It's not murder. I think if someone were to take a poll of 1000 married couples, you may be surprised just how often it happens. I am not saying it is ok. I am just saying it happens all over this country and in every walk of life. If parents choose to protect their children from anyone who has ever cheated on a loved one, they would have no teachers, pastors, friends(friends parents cheat as well).

Agree 100%..If Gruden ever becomes not an option ( although I believe we have a very good shot at him, even through the smokescreens) but if he does say no Strong or Del Rio would be my 2nd choice and Strong would probably be my number 2. He has done a great job at Louisville and I think he could really win here and recruit at a very high level. Im a huge Strong fan.

Cheating on his wife has been the least of my issues with him. Everywhere he has worked he has been very disliked by administration, office people and on down. He is someone that cant be trusted and he has proven that from being at Auburn and all the way through his days at Arky. Finebaum had a guy on a few weeks ago and he was telling stories about how bad people who have worked with him absolutely hate the man and should not be trusted running any college program, especially a top flight school like TN. He and UK or AU deserve each other.
