Possible candidates to replace coach Wilson

Yes, I like the thought of moving Browning into an actual position and keepin him around longer. Good thought.

As i was doing a little research on him, I looked at his commitments. I found it interesting that he had 5 OL commitments. Yes, they are from 3* or lower but still getting 5 is impressive. He also recruited alot of kids from the SoFla area. The big area of concern for me is can he develop and coach players?

Whoever it is we need somebody with some strong ties to Louisiana Orgeron of course does, so they could move him down there, but we also have to keep ed spread out since he is recruiting cordinator i would pull for McCarthy LSU always has if not elite really good recievers at the least.

The big deal is that the kids can relate to Trooper and he can definitely keep a conversation going from what I know. There are better candidates out there other than Trooper though.

I agree. A young black male will usually have no problem relating to the players. This is part of what will make CFW a great coach. Players understand where he is coming from and buy into what he is selling.

If a new coach is hired, please get someone with special teams experience. Please!!!

Eddie Gran is widely known as one of the best in the business. Our ST being awful is a result of the lack of coaching/talent under Fulmer and the fact that we had to take guys who have barely played ST and put them in the fold.

Our ST hasn't been that bad in the last few weeks. A lot of that will be fixed when Palardy and some of the athletic HS kids get here.

To insinuate Trooper brought EB here is ridiculous. Yeah, it had NOTHING to do with his Father playing here.....

What's the difference? A chest bump, which many coached do because hey can relate to the players. It isn't any different than a pat on the helmet. Congrats on a good play is congrats any way you do it. At least he's not an azz slapper.

Trooper is one of the best position coaches we have had in a while everwhere he goes he has success with the players he coaches and he is responseable for getting us some of our best players in the past 5 years here is a list of the players he has gotten us

1.Eric Berry
2.Gerlad Jones
3.Nevin McKenzie(great player for the 2 years he was here)
4.Denarius Moore
5.Lennon Creer (was good while he was here)

this guy can recruit and coach in 2004 he was our running back coach and we had 2 backs go for over 1000 yards. Hes no Eddie Gran but he would be a decent replacement if we couldnt find someone else plus I miss getting a chest bump at the Vol Walk

Pretty sure Fulmer closed the deal with Eric Berry. Also, Eric's dad played football here. I'm sure Trooper wasn't the main reason he came here. He wasn't even his position coach.

Gerald Jones has really only had one good season. That season is this year.

Nevin McKenzie had one good year. His SR year.

Denarius Moore is the same as Gerald Jones.

Lennon Creer did nothing while here. Nice try though.

Whether you like it TT is in play. Someone CLK is talking with...Tony Alford is a name you may hear quite a bit if Coach Gran leaves.... Alford coaches running backs, special teams and has connections in Florida

I say Rob Ianello. He is a good coach (see Golden Tate, Michael Floyd, Jeff Samardzija, and Maurice stovall), and can recruit.

I played for him in high school at Dunwoody back in the late 80's. I credit him with a lot. The guy is a good man. I have no idea about his creds or history since then but I'd take him in a second.

Strong recruiter, strong salesman. Obvious links to Atlanta area.

Ga is important for us as far as recruiting, but for overall top tier recruits, it's not as big as LA nand especially the '11 class. LA is a D1 hot bed as we all know. Just want to make sure we have the state cover.

Ed O has it covered.

This would be a good hire to replace CFW. Connections to ATL and FL are always needed. I don't know what kind of recruiter he is though.

Kelly is a top notch coach with a great reputation...I am surprised some other school hadn't stolen him away before now...I would take him in a minute.
