Maybe I dont.I played a little past high school and had a coach with a zero tolerance policy. Guess what happened. One or two guys a year got booted but the other 100 plus players I would go to war with. You don't do what's right some of the time. You do it all the time. Getting suspended for drugs is about the most selfish thing a member of a team could do. It screams I am putting what I want to do above what's best for my team. Then you don't respect most of the team
The NCAA does the drug tests so even if it happened in May it will be a one game suspension. If it did happen the players and coaches already know who will have to sit.
NCAA only does testing during championships and bowls. School are required to do all other testing throughout year and are required to adhere to whatever their policy is for that school. Thats why some schools get away with more than others without NCAA sanctions. but if NCAA finds out a school did not punish in accordance to their policy, thats when retroactive sanctions (are supposed to) come.
Then you don't respect most of the team
The truth is we may never know anything. CBJ nor the AD have to tell the media or the fans anything. They could just not play a player in a game and say nothing. In reality, that is how it should work.
well, then....so be it....
Nobody lives in fantasy-land and expects these guys to live like angels....
But, honestly, is it asking too much to expect them to obey the law and stay away from illegal substances that could possibly ruin their college careers? Not to mention hurt their potential draft status with the NFL?
Is that really too high of a standard for anyone?
