This might be a big if, but if Tennessee somehow manages to win the SEC tournament coupled with their #1 SOS, could that possibly get them at least a 4th seed heading into the NCAA tournament with home court advantage. I think it could!!

They could hand Tn a 1 seed in both tourneys and give them home court through out both tourneys and they are still going home early. They don't deserve the NCAA tourney.

Not really worried about seeds if we make the NCAA tourney were going to end up with 14 losses if we don't 13 losses. It has been a terrible season for everyone this team didn't compete in every game and Holly made enough coaching mistakes to fill a hundred page dictionary. I am glad the seniors went out winners at home other than that the only thing that would make it better is if Holly wasn't going to be here as coach next season.

They certainly have the talent. Always have.

Well hope springs eternal I guess.

The LV's beat a mediocre UGA club that for some reason decided to play man defense most of the game and also was without its best player.

It was a nice sendoff for the seniors. That's about as far as I'm willing to go with it.

I'm feeling crotchety because the softball team blew a lead and lost to Alabama.

4 top 50 RPI wins, #1 Strength of Schedule and #26 RPI in the country. Yes, they didn't live up to our expectations, but any other team with this resume would easily earn an at large berth.

No way we make it that high of a seed in the NCAA tourney. Even if we make it to the SEC tourney final we will probably be playing USC. No way we beat them. I would say if we did get to the SEC tourney final we would be around #6 NCAA tourney seed.

If somehow we did pull of the upset & win the tourney then I still say no higher than a #5 seed for the NCAA. We have just too many losses(some really bad ones too) regardless to expect a #4 seed or higher.

I'm not sure what changed but the lady vols look like they were having fun and the reins were taken off of diamond and te'a ! If they get the good minutes from graves, Dunbar, carter and Middleton this team can beat anyone except uconn! I did not mention Russell because as tall as she is she has been a big disappointment. !!

Well, the LVs season will be over in a few weeks (give or take) and the postmortems can be written with full information.

Teams have sometimes turned it around in a post-season to make Cinderella runs deep into the tournament and this team has shown, albeit sporadically, that they have the potential to make such a turnaround.

Had the LVs completely imploded, losing to GA, the first round of the tournament, and hence missed an NCAA bid (options 2 and 3 are still possible but seem less likely now), I think the pressure to replace Holly would have become insurmountable. More likely than not, however, the LVs will do enough to keep CHW at the helm at least for one more year (probably with some performance benchmarks that have to be met).

My final comment is not directed at you LvJeff. It is a general observation and indeed plea. At this point in the season, everyone on this board pretty much knows everyone else who wants Holly gone NOW and the reasons for such demands. So, why not just enjoy the remaining ride as long as it last (and with a dose of fan hope) rather than continuing to incessantly beat the "Fire Holly!" horse.
