The positives that I saw to the game before going mad were these:
1. Rivera was a good target in the passing game and will e a phenomenal eight end for years to come
2. Marlin lane is our future back folks. He's got what it takes. If he were behind a good oline, lane would be a very dominant back.
3. The pass protection was for the most part really good.
4. Our kick off coverage is still solid
5. Simms is maybe the 2nd best backup
in the sec (maybe behind Phillip Simms)
but Matt has way more experience.

I do realize that in all other aspects we really sucked it up. But I still believe next year we will do great things, regardless of what you all think. However, this is a
6-6 year.

Que the negavols- find flaws in my opinion.

Devrin Young was a positive. I agree with you, except about Marlin Lane. He hasnt shown me that much yet.

I'm not buying the Matt Simms love. He. Is. Horrible. He makes the same mistakes over and over. A senior shouldn't do that. I'd rather burn Worley's red shirt or play Nash Nance.

Rivera stuck out to me the most. I have been a non believer but the kid is a very good ball player. He made good plays and had a great catch towards the end of the game on a 4th and 15, I think.

I have another one. Young on returns is good.

I'm on the fence about Simms but he did well last night off the bench.

I like Simms, but he is the classic "game manager" type qb. that needs a strong running game behind him...no running game+Simms tendency to hold onto the ball forever= recipe for disaster

To me, Young is the best returner we have had in a while. He seems to find holes that aren't there. He has the quickness to make 1-2 guys miss and with some blocking, could make him a highly feared returner. He just gets too quick for himself when he sees 5 guys unblocked and stumbles when he tries to make 4 quick moves.
