We found a run game, that's huge. If Chaney can coach Simms to take what he's given instead of forcing the ball, we have a serviceable QB. Da'Rick smacked the honeybee around. The o-line looked better.

On D, I think we looked good early, but you can see the players are getting fatigued. Hopefully recruits see this and realize there is playing time to be had. With depth, this D can be good.

The players can hold their heads high after this game. I don't care how much we lose by. They fought hard against the #1 team in the nation. They didn't quit. When you have no depth, you're going to get tired, but they did not quit.

Someone's always going to *****. I expect it. But I'm proud of what we did today minus Hunter and Bray. Games like this make me feel like we're going in the right direction.

Good post. I agree completely.

Of course, some jack-hole already started a Dooley ain't the guy thread.

I'm going to stop spending Saturday watching the Vols (For this year only) and actually be a teen and go out and do things.

Can I get an amen for the return game?!?! That's definitely another positive. Young is freaking lightning...

Yup - we have hardly any depth on defense. Against one of the best running teams in the nation it's hard if we aren't getting 3 and outs. We are talented on defense we just need some depth.

A cooler head prevails. All those who are down on Dooley are living in la-la- land. Did anybody really expect an instant winner here? Gotta give him time. Of course, anybody with a brain knows that.

Spending time with friends instead of stressing out over football at such a young age seems like a good idea to me. I'm too competitive for my own good.

I don't expect that run offense to be much of a factor against Alabama. I'm going to write this off as a fluke until further notice.

I'm legitimately excited about next year. We will be a good team.

Bray, Hunter, Rogers, Lane/DYoung, a fairly experienced O-Line...

More experience for the whole D...

And more depth!

More depth for the defense is key. A very nice schedule too.
