I was guessing the positive spin some would put on here after that lousy excuse of a second half.

I figured it would be now we would play an opponent that we might can beat in bowl game rather than get our brains beat out in Sugar Bowl.

I mean that was the excuse for not wanting to play in SEC Championship game right? :glare:

There is never a positive spin for not getting to go to Nawlins....I'm bummed and I'm considered a pumper

As a fanbase we saved a ton of money by not going to NO. I know I saved about $1,500 personally.

Not sure this is a positive spin...but I have been wrong before

Just to clarify, I am not saying I agree with that line of thinking, just figured that would be the "spin" some would try to put out.

The same ones that said they thought it was better not to go to SEC Championship game because they did not want to get another beat down.

It's abundantly clear now that Butch is in way over his head.
Hanging onto him won't improve the Vols' chances for any sort of championship in the near future.
We're going to need an upgrade for our prospects to improve.

There's this....we are seriously as big of a laughing stock as when dooley coached from a stool on the sidelines.

Coach sheep spin zone:

Butch was smart to lose to Mason. Another win doesn't really help us much this year, we are still going to a good bowl game. We don't need the SEC east or the Sugar Bowl to keep recruiting up. A loss keeps Mason around another year and next year is a down year so we might need that win to get to 6-6 and another bowl game. And that bowl game will help recruiting so we can set up a championship run in 2020.

No spin can save this. This sucked. Top to bottom. Butch to Dobbs. Unacceptable from a man earning $4M from his employer.

There's nothing quite like a good coach "Farhing" meltdown to make the Holidays is there. Takes me back to the Dooley days. Those were dysfunctional right?
