thatd be nice - but we need to add 1 to DE and DT and take 1 from some other positions - maybe only 4 DB and 3 WR?

we added a few DB's this year and we have a lot of young talent at WR - we are really light on talent at DE and DT after this year's seniors move on

Why do we need another q.b.? We have Dobbs, Worley, Peterman & Fergy.......

We are thin at about every position after this coming year.

QB- Nothing (need 4 to 5)

RB- Neal (leaves us with 5 on scholly) (need 6-8)

Wide Receiver- Nothing (but he likes to have 15 on scholly, Going into next year only have 11)

Tight End- Nothing (need 5)

O-Line- Bullard, Stone, Fulton, James, (possible Richardson) (leaves us with only 8 on scholly) ( Need 15)

DE- Miller and Smith ( Leaves us with only 4 DE) (need 6-8)

DT- McCullers, Hood, Walls, Couch (leaves us with 5, But only 2 worthy of playing time, rest back up) (need 6-8)

LB- Crump, Propst, King, Fugate, Sapp, Brewer (possible Johnson and Maggit) (Leaves us with 4 on scholly if they leave) (need 10)

DB- Gordon, Moore, Oliver (leaves us with 9 on scholly) (need 12-14)

We have to hit both lines hard in this class. How many JUCOs do we look to take?

If the number of recruits for this year stay the same, how many can we back count next year? Does the 28 scholly limit still apply as well?

i know CBJ said he wants 15 WR's - but hard to say you are thin at a position when you have 11 on roster - and many of those young - i mean the likelihood that any of the WR takes in the 2014 class play as freshman is very low

if you look at the talent we have at DE and DT returning - it is abysmal - at WR we will have a lot of talent returning

Out of those 11 you have, (North, Harris, Croom, Jenkins, Howard, Dallas, Bowles, and maybe Carter will only see the field)

You cant look past the talent of Josh Malone and Dominque Booth and legacies of Wharton and Creamer.

I personally suspect that at least one of those transfers... possibly two depending on what happens with Worley this spring.

He wants to play and has the talent to start somewhere. Peterman being the starter would have to impact one or both of the new signees.

you just listed 7 guys that are very talented - so when the freshman you bring in is 8th on the depth chart - i would call that a position with good depth - 6 of which are 4 star guys

when you compare that to our DL - where we will need 4 starters and you figure that in 2014 we will have 2 guys that were 4 star or higher - the difference is dramatic

EDIT - and 3 of those 4 you mention would be a great haul - we never land anywhere close to all the guys we think we have a good shot at - so i'd take 3 of those 4 any day of the week

Watson is committed to Clemson. I don't see us having much of a shot there. Has he reopened the recruiting process?

He is our top QB prospect, right now I would say he is unlikely. However, his main draw to Clemson appears to be Chad Morris, so if were to leave after this season for a head coaching job it would be one to keep an eye on (which wouldn't shock me as Moris's stock could very well peak this season in what is Boyd's last season and is likely watkins as well)

I would have figured Barker would be out top target?
