A little birdie told me that Brayden Sharp landed at Rice. I look forward to following his career there as I bet he will shine. It’s too bad he was injured his true freshman year or we would have seen his talent on Rocky Top. He has a great swing and the ball explodes out of his hand on the mound.

I respect your opinion, but I just didn’t see it personally. Not built like a typical SEC player and his FB was upper 80s. Was really roughed up in limited SEC play. But, that being said, he is very athletic and should do well at Rice, if that’s his landing spot.

Super talented kid. Due to injuries and frame hadn’t quite had the time to develop physically to the point he needed to be. Bet he will kill it at Rice. I think they would have liked to hang onto him, but at the same time the roster crunch is real and holding onto developmental guys is going to be really hard to do.

Vast majority of the guys leaving are because they will not have a spot next year. They are going to have close to 20 less roster spots than they normally do. They still are in a numbers crunch actually, especially if some of the draft goes their way - they’re still gonna have to get rid of more guys, those will likely come from the highschool class though. They have pretty much trimmed everything they could from the returners

Advincula is another huge target that they can hopefully close on. They already lost the backup option, which hopeful tells you they feel good about their chances with him.

Top of the order bat and fills 2B, plus another left handed bat to add into the mix

Definitely adding an infielder - the hope is that it’s Advincula.

Mack a huge target but obviously tough battle with LSU. Not sure if they’ll circle around to another pitcher if they miss on him or just put all their focus into getting their draft guys to campus

Mckee mentioned Evan Blanco on Basilio yesterday. Normally I would dismiss Basilio info but not when he was face to face with Mckee in the last 24 hours.
