Don't get me wrong I believe the our D is pretty solid, but we have consistantly struggled with tackling the opponent the last couple of years. If we don't get it together Ingram and Bama's QB are going to take advantage. They are showing that in this game vs. So. Carolina. If we want to have a huge year next year we need to take down a top team this year and Alabama is our last shot. I hope I am wrong about next weekend.... but..... LETS GO VOLS!!!!:superman::dance2::superman::dance2::superman::dance2::superman::dance2:

Agreed, Im watchin the bama/s.car game right now and sc's D is playin great but every time someone misses the first tackle on ingram he bounces it out and get's alot of yds. we gotta be in position, play our assignments, and wrap up. especially J.Jackson he can hit hard but we need him to wrap up.

SC's D was good imho. They didn't let the qb beat them. They also had guys in position to make the tackle but they didn't hence the 118 yards after contact for Ingram. I put my faith in Monte Kiffin to come up with a plan to stop Ingram. Our best shot is to stop the Bama running game and get some pressure on the qb. It is still a long shot though.

Actually, SC's defense is very good . . . which should scare you even more.

Yeah right. The same Georgia team that the Vols held to 3 points on offense lit USCe's D for 41 points earlier this season. Joe Cox looked like Joe Namath in that game. Greg McElroy has continued to look like Greg McElroy, however.

Ingram looked like a beast tonight against USC, over 200 all-purpose yards... We are gonna spend a lot of energy trying to stop him.

Although I've only watched 'Bama this week and last week, but I gotta say McElroy sucks as bad as Crompton (not counting GA). Run blitz the hell outta 'Bama and we make this a game. Our D is faster than USCjr, so we should keep 'Bama under 20. USCjr had good success throwing, not so much running. JC's gotta have a good game for us to have any hope.

I just saw the box score of the Bammer-Shamecock game and saw that Julio Jones had zero (0) catches. That was quite a game plan by USCe DC Ellis Johnson. Take away the opening throw pick-six by Garcia and Bama wins this puppy by just seven (and in reality scored just 13 points offensively).

I don't believe we will have to worry about giving up many points. If we can get pressure on mcelroy. What we have to worry about is scoring enough to be ahead at the end of the game

The game this weekend will have no bearing on next year. We are not even close to Bama as far as overall talent and we are still 2-3 years away. Everyone on here would love to beat them and a win would certainly be a huge shot in the arm but in alot of ways next year will be more of a rebuilding year then this year is.

This is a funny post to me. Maybe you should check the roster and see how many players will be returning next year.

we're losing a whole lot next year. OL, QB, RB, EB, etc.
