Poole

If Hiestand can conjur up even a mediocre offensive line, TP could rush for more yards than Hardesty had last year. He makes quicker cuts and he maintains balance really well. Only knock on him is that he isn't as strong as MH (or BB), so he won't be able to push the pile. But that's why we have Toney Williams. Also, I don't know how he is at protecting the ball. I guarantee he won't be better than Hardesty was, since he NEVER fumbled while at UT... not once....

Yes he did. He fumbled twice after catching screen passes.

If you think Poole will be a beast this year... wait until his senior year. It will be special.

This. I can't wait to see Poole run behind this OL after it has a year to develop. Not to mention a year of training, body maturing, and experience on his part.

He did cost us the bowl game against Penn State though. He was a great back who would cough the ball up at the worst time. I hate to say it but I was always scared when he carried late in the game.

We shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place, really. And he still won us more games than he lost.

HE didn't cost us anything, our entire team cost us. One player's mistakes are not the reason we lost that game. Remember when we KNEW they were going to run the ball, and we couldn't stop them?? Was that on Arian too?? You win as a team and lose as a team, plain and simple.

Brown looks anything but fragile. 220-230lb back that is bigger, stronger and faster than Poole. It sucks he may be leaving but there are reasons someone is named the top prospect in the country.

Yeah and there are reasons why top draft picks bomb out in the NFL, why top players always choke at the wrong time, and why blue chip stocks that are money makers end up being worth dirt ...

(And the crowd goes)

Over-Rated!!!!

When you're going into the end zone with less than two minutes on the clock to seal the deal and you cough the ball up and the D picks it up and runs it alllllllllll the way back for a touchdown and wins with THAT touchdown ... yes, the blame lies alot on you.

Not completely. But alot.

Sometimes two teams are even and it is one player making a bad decision that cost you the game.

The older I get the more I realize how dirty college football actually is on every level. It's amazing how politics and business creeps into everything.
