I think he has the potential but with the poor line play last season it affected his mental game. When he believes he can play we can see the kid that lit up Oregon's defense last year.

....and got caught from behind on at least 2 runs that should have gone the distance. I know Ore has team speed, but it got me frustrated when he got "walked down".:angry:

Wow, that's big-time recognition. Most people wouldn't rank him the 7th best back in the SEC, let alone the entire country.

lane will get alot of snaps to....hes just to good not to..i hope we get get 1200 to 1400 yards on the ground this year.

I'll be wearin' my 28 jersey on September 3rd and cheering for this kid all the way.

I cannot WAIT to see my Vols!!!!! It's so close!

really? I can see this comment vs another SEC team... but vs Oregon? speed is their one and only game plan..

lane has never played in a CFB game...

don't get me wrong, I think the kid will END UP being a beast for us.. but seriously people on here need to stop with the lane worship when we have nothing to show he deserves it yet.

Poole on the other hand gave us 6 100 yard games and a 1000 yd season when we had the worst O-line in *(probably) the history of our program.

I brought it up because Poole got zip for carries with Lane as Head Coach.

might be some confusion when you say Lane as our new RB is named Marlin Lane and he is expected to push for playing time. Might want to go with Kiffin when discussing RB's

Yea the Poole haters always come up with something. He's the only proven back we have & you would think he woulda hushed the peanut gallery up last year but the haters are gonna hate. Don't forget Emmit Smith getting walked down a ton too. A 50 yard run just isn't good enough though.
