* Vanderbilt is out of all polls.

* Kentucky has moved up to 23 in one poll and unranked in others. They have really played a soft schedule so I'm quite surprised.

* Arkansas stayed in place pretty much despite a loss to Houston

* Texas finally fell out in all polls (barely in one)

* Florida is consensus #1 again after Stanford lost a game to lightly regarded Fresno State. The Cardinal thrashed Bulldogs 16-0 and 9-2 in final 2 games.

* LSU finally had a quality week and went 5-0. One more week like last and the fans would have strung up the staff.

* For many reasons, I'm not enthralled with either Mississippi team right now. Mississippi State typically chews on OOC foes then struggle in SEC play. Ole Miss is simply "undercoached"

* Bad year for northern teams... Oregon State, Oregon and Gonzaga are the closest things to northern teams in the polls as I consider all them more "West Coast" than northern. There are no Upper Midwest or Northeastern programs getting real consideration right now. No Nebraska, No Notre Dame, No St. Johns, No Rutgers, No Seton Hall, No Creighton, No Big10, nada. The NCAA can't be happy as they've been propping one school or the other up for over a decade. So far it looks like every region and Super Region site will be Sunbelt or west coast.

They've been a baseball school for a couple of years now IMO.....6 SEC teams in the top 30.
