Hell yes. Beats settling for another Dooley or Jones.

Pros: QB guru, great offensive mind, elite recruiter, Twitter Troll Master, hilarious, hates Saban more than any of us, will bring a competant staff, players love him, etc.

Cons: Probation

I'll be glad to take that chance. Hell we are dead last in the SEC. Could it get any worse, especially with the mess that happened Sunday?:hi:

These poll results are ridiculous. 2 weeks ago the results of this poll would be exactly reversed. Amazing how far the fall has been for this program.

Hear, hear! He is by far the best option of the candidates mentioned so far. Also, it is likely that a couple of years under Saban might have helped polish him far more than his tenure at USC. Lane is far more knowledgeable about coaching now than he was when he was here before, his first collage gig. Should have him here by dark today!

Come on guys. Eight years. Took his dream job. Forgive. Bring back Lane.

Or vote no and prepare for Mike Bobo.

Kiffin is a bad person and a bad coach. His success was as a Co-OC at USC and an OC at Alabama. Both places had considerably more players then anyone. He has been fored from every job except Tennessee. He was very close to getting the NCAA hammer while here. He is the reason (outside of Hamilton) that Tennessee is in this mess. For those that want to bring him back you are so misinformed.

You're exactly right -- the Vol Walk with Kiffin was electrifying. The players walked in with confidence and swagger. It was loud and a little rowdy. You knew the game was gonna be a scrap and that the players would give their all for Tennessee, not just say it. Kiffin strolled into that stadium with the The Pride of the Southland blaring Rocky Top, and it felt like he -- and we -- were gonna whoop somebody's A all over Neyland Stadium. Vol Walk hasn't felt like quite like that since he left. He whipped the fanbase into a frenzy. He knew us. I think that's what all the mattress burning nonsense was all about --we were as bought in as the players and we knew his potential. Then it was gone in a flash. Kiffin was the right fit for the Vols team, the culture, the passionate fan base, and he probably knew it deep down. But he left for the grass is greener dream job. It wasn't. It was a bad decision. He knows it and would do anything to get a do-over. If he comes back, the Vols will be back. And I really don't think Kiffin would want to walk into another stadium ever again.

Let him build it back. It feels like the timing is right. If he does it and succeeds, it would be one of the greatest sports stories of all time.

On the next episode of Day's of Our Lives...

"Caroline! Take him back? Really?"

"Yes, Kate. I am."

"He left you for his 'dream woman'. Remember?"

"I know. I'll never be able to get anyone better though, Kate. Not in my situation. Not at my age."
