Kiffin was not qualified to be our HC at the time.

He was an OC and had NFL HC experience (albeit failed). He wasnt mature enough for sure. Shoulda gone after Patterson at TCU.

Doesnt change fact that Hammy's contract negotiating with Kiffin was negligent and set us back a decade.

What is the statute of limitations on hurt feelings?

Hell yeah, I'd have taken him back when we hired Pruitt. (we all know no way Fulmer would have done that though)

Life and failure has a way of humbling people. Kiffin was a young, hotshot jackass when he was here, and the way he left was totally wrong. I can't blame him for leaving, though, with his history at USC.

Since his time at Bama as OC he seems much different, more mature. I'm glad he is having fun at Ole Miss and wish him well.

We all know Mike Hamilton screwed it up the first time. Would you like Kiffin back in Knoxville?
Lane kiffin>pruitt, jones and dooley. He'd at least have us better than what we have been the past decade. Probably 8-4/9-3 consistently while giving florida/georgia and alabama a good game each and every year and knocking one of them off periodically. I dont understand how we can't manage to get a coach better than pruitt jones or dooley. Theres so many options: hugh freeze, sam pittman, kiffin, kendall briles

Would love to have him back..............he left at an immature time in his life for , "my dream job." If we were all honest we probably would have done exactly the same thing !!! Including myself. Would take him today, no questions asked. He is a winner and his offense is totally unbelievable. Nobody in their right mind can say his offense is almost impossible to stop.

Our present offensive scheme is absolutely terrible with the worst OC in the country. Totally my opinion and I personally do not care what anyone thinks about it. I would love to talk to Chaney and tell him how terrible he is as an OC.
