Simple yes or no. Remember there has been zero evidence to support him being fired at this point. There is evidence they are giving him every opportunity to stay for 2018 and maybe beyond...........

Remember that the year ends on December 31st this year. If the OP meant the regular season, then I say "maybe" but Dec 31st, yes.

The way the question was posed, the "year" defaults to this calendar year.

Sounds like you want him to stay. Do you?

I answered no because of the way the question is worded (this year=this season). I do not believe he will be fired during the season. But after the season - he gone!

No. Just looking objectively at the evidence...what little we have at this point. It appears to be leaning more that he will not be fired opposed to him being fired. Them giving him a chance to right the ship could go beyond the end of this season, it could mean the 2018 season......

Fiscal , contract, and calendar year are all different.

I agree with this post, 100%.
I'd prefer to see a poll with the question, "Will butch be fired before the Vandy game", or end of season. Again, a simple yes or not.:hi:

Based on what?

Oh, I don’t know.....0-5 in the SEC this year coming off 2 disappointing seasons that already left him firmly on a hot seat coming into the season..... and literally every human on earth who covers Tennessee projecting him to be fired sooner rather than later?

Not a chance.

No way Currie can stand pat and not make a change for a myriad of reasons.....including Currie’s favorite thing to do, which is fundraise for capital improvements.....he just announced the Neyland renovations of $340mm....there’s no way in hell hes raising that money with Butch Jones as the head coach here.

UTAD defies logic.

After losing Mays and getting trucked this Saturday, I'd say Butch's last week has come...UNLESS we've already got our guy, and UTAD just wants to try one last ditch effort to be bowl eligible.
