I have low expectations for this year. We do have the benefit of having one of the easier schedules in the league but it's still tough on a national scale. I just think the lack of depth/proven skill position players on offense is going to bite us at some point in the season. If TN did happen to win 9 games this year, I think it could be CJH finest coaching job yet at UT. Thankfully TN has an easier schedule on the front end and should be a much improved team by midseason when the schedule becomes tougher. I would be perfectly happy with 8-4 this season---especially if the games are competitive. Hopefully Maximilian has improved on his kicking this offseason....we are going to need him to win a game for us this year.

Glad to see the vast majority of our fanbase understands this is a reloading year. 9-3 is great under current circumstances. Get ready for playoff runs in 2026-28. I bet we make the playoffs 2 out of those 3 years...if not all 3. These 2025 and 2026 classes especially have some very good players in them. GBO

We are a 7-9 win team. 9-3 would be very good season.

No, we should win at least 8. The schedule is pitifully easy (by SEC standards). We play the 4 worst teams in the league and a Syracuse team who’s over under win total currently sits at 5.5. We could literally beat 0 teams of note and win 8 games.

Calling out the importance of a High School recruiting class ranking is another indicator you live in the past.

Bubba ran this conference for a long time, but that has been over for 3 years now. Ask Vandy, plus 2 out of the last 3 for the good guys.

This season should get 10 wins because roster management is the name of the game. We spent big money to keep important players on the roster.

This staff believed in the guys we have, so it's win or move on.
Um, unless you are able to see into the future, then I have facts and data to support my argument and you have nothing.

Every national championship team the last 10+ years have had top recruiting classes building up into that run. The only real exception to that is Michigan mainly because they cheated.

Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, even LSU are staples at the top of the recruiting rankings.

Sure, they had a few high profile transfers, but their core was built on high school recruiting, building, and retaining talent.

It’s not the X’s and O’s; it is the jimmies and joes.

Don’t hold your breath waiting on a natty until Heupel and co. crack a top 5 class.

Again. You prove my point of living in the past. Those stats mean nothing. All compiled pre portal / NIL.

This year all hinges on JA. We have the defense and run game to be just as good as were last year. If JA can be a level above Nico its 9 wins for sure with the chance for more.

Some of JAs success will hinge on the OL, but from most accounts people are expecting them to be solid, but we shall see.

Man you all have such loser mentalities. This is Huepel's most talented team ever. 9-3 is a disappointment given he's won more with less talented teams. Tennessee should be a program that holds itself to the highest standards. Anything less than a championship should be a disappointment from here on out.

My expectation for this season is 11-1, SEC Championship Game appearance, and advancing deep in the playoffs. Anything less than that should be a disappointment for a program like Tennessee.

I would've said "doesn't matter" if Florida was at the beginning of the year, but I think there's a great chance Tenn has things together and Florida has fallen apart. If OU truly is going to be really good I see them getting revenge, and I'm ok with that loss because that means doing something that hasn't been done in forever against the big 3. But 9-3 is indeed a success given the circumstance.

Lots of people still happy with mediocrity I see. 9 definitely isn’t the end of the world but at this time in coach H tenure we should be wanting more. I have been seeing claims that this is our most talented team under H. I hope those are right.

It’s time that we stop accepting losses to Fl, Ga, Bama year in abd year out. I get that we’re not going to beat the powerhouses every year, but we should be competing every year. Win the ones we should, beat 1-2 of those, abd we’re looking at playoffs again. It’s time we stop dropping a silly game every year.

Because Heupel has been building this team since the day he arrived and inherited a total garbage dump.

The defense has been steadily improving every season, although I do expect a small step back on D, I expect this offense to actually score points against SEC opponents.

If he can't get to 10 wins this year, it's time to move on to the next guy.

Too much money being spent in CFB to be ok with the status quo.
What a idiotic post
