Choose your favorite new HC choice (I didn't list those who, although might be good choices, were probably not available-Butch Davis & Paul Johnson because they are in new positions and Bill Cowher and Jon Gruden because they are probably not going to be college coaches):

Neither should Graham, Kelly, Brewster, or Kiffin.

I personally consider 3 as best choices: Leach, Mendenhall, and Petersen

I put Kiffin in because he is available and Kelly and Brewster because they are mentioned a lot. Edsall is there because he has done a great job and the president is from Conn and probably has a preference. I didnt include Muschamp because he has no head coaching experience. Brewster is getting a lot of support on other sites.

Isn't it true that you have said Dantonio would be good. What has he shown better than Kelly?

I'm a big Randy Edsall fan, as i live here, there is no UT news available outside of the internet, and message boards, are, well, unreliable.

So i have a passive interest in the Huskies, Edsall has done a hell of a job with a newer program, with no in state talent to speak of. I personally think that CPF could learn some from Edsall, as he seems to have become somewhat lazy, beating teams with talent as opposed to strategy or cunning. Edsall takes some fair talent and a smattering of spare parts, and finds a way to win with what he's got.

Mark Dantonio

This is a neat idea, though the Spartans have money as well, and he seems to be enjoying himself there. That, and selling the farm in the bidding war that would ensue for a relatively unprove commodity could hurt. But Dantonio seems like the real deal to me.

Wait a little before you are sold on Dantonio. I'm not sure MSU doesn't to their usual choke job to end the season.

Touche. You got me. But don't be surprised if they just roll on, if they can get this game today. They should beat Purdue today, and then comes the trip to Happy Valley. I can see it now, cold and snowy, with Ringer running 55 times up the gut. It's possible, but i think the overall result of the MSU season depends on what happens in the final 30 today.
