tvolsfan,

That wasn't the question, tho. THe question was which would you rather have happen?

Is anyone willing to wish for the Vols to lose? Under ANY circumstances?
I understand. There's no guarantee at all that the next hire will be the right hire. I'll take the wins, but I would not want him to get a 4 year extension.

Trick question kinda. I want to win of course. I want 10 or more wins every year. Do I think Dooley is a good coach? No.

Honest question:

Two hypothetical situations, which would you rather have happen?

1. Dooley wins 9 regular season games next year and a bowl, finishes with ten wins, and gets a 4 year extension, or:

2. Dooley has another 6 win season, and is shown the door, and we get a new coach?

What kind of retarded question is this?

To be fair, I should also say that although I wouldn't pull against the Vols in any game, I feel comfortable saying that I would be more optimistic about the team's future with 6-7 and a coaching change than 8-5 and no coaching change. People will think I'm no true fan, but that's the truth.

Dooley could go 13-0 and some of you dildoes would still be complaining
If Dooley goes unbeaten, he would have proven us wrong about his ability to win championships. However, there's a huge difference between running the table and parlaying a great passing attack into a 9 win season. People complain about Dooley because there is very good reason to believe he's not a championship quality coach. People need to stop trying to make it seem like it's more than that.

Id take the bold.

9 wins and a bowl game is only 3 losing games. Not bad for where we have been. I would take that and some stability to propel us into a great 2013. 9 wins might win the east next year anyways ....But nevertheless we will beat the snot out if everyone in 2012... GBO!!

Voting for a choice that includes a four year extension for his first winning season here is a joke.

Since when does contracts keep coaches from getting fired in Ktown.

They don't and that would be part of my point. It would be fiscally irresponsible to give him a four year extension for one winning season. It would fiscally hold us hostage in regards to any decisions concerning Dooley.

that was the record sabans first season wasnt it ? Alabama has more rich boosters also
They went 7-6 the first year with Saban. And because were willing to spend money on a quality coach, their athletic department is now far more profitable.
