Honest question:

Two hypothetical situations, which would you rather have happen?

1. Dooley wins 9 regular season games next year and a bowl, finishes with ten wins, and gets a 4 year extension, or:

2. Dooley has another 6 win season, and is shown the door, and we get a new coach?

Oops ... misread the question. I thought we were picking what was likely to happen NOT what we would RATHER have happen ... my bad ... I officially change my vote ... DUH !!!

I just dont understand why anyone would want us to lose games. Why would you not want dooley to succeed? It would mean our team is succeeding. I want nothing more than for dooley to build a winner. I want him to earn that contract extension. I can understand people not liking him, but if you love this team, why would you not wish him all the success in the world?

exactly!! I could give a crap about who the coach is. I want Ut to compete at a high level every year. I cant imaging wanting them to fail.

I absolutely want him to succeed. But by succeed, I mean I want him to compete for and win championships. Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled if Tennessee went 10-3 next year. But if UT doesn't win a championship and then goes 7-6 in 2013, Tennessee didn't really gain much.

No way Dooley would get a 4 year extension with a 9 win season next year. 4 year extensions are for champions.

That's what I'm trying to figure out.

I hated Ainge, but even as I cringed with every pass he threw, I still hoped he completed the pass, and cheered loudly when he did.

Anyone who voted for the 6 win scenario is simply kidding themselves. They are not really Vol fans. You don't wish for you team to perform poorly. Get out.

I'm not going to root for Tennessee to lose, but we would be kidding ourselves if we pretended that there isn't a scenario where less wins could turn out to lead to better things in the long run.

Is anyone willing to wish for the Vols to lose? Under ANY circumstances?
