Hmmm. Good point - maybe we go $30K for each point scored and - $5K for each point given up

9 wins - 5 million
10 wins - 6 million

So on, and so forth.

Why is a point given up worth less then a point scored? That doesn't make sense.

No less than 8-9 mil a year and we can get any coach in this country not named Saban. Fact.

They need to realize they are already spending this much by paying the current coach AND the former coach to sit around.

Why is a point given up worth less then a point scored? That doesn't make sense.

Because you can go 9-3 and only win by 10 or less points per game and not earn that much

It’s always easier to spend someone else’s money. Obviously, most of us aren’t going to pay millions for a coach.

But pay a coach whatever you can IF it can bring us to the top. It’s a great return on investment. The problem is finding a sure winner as every hire has risks.

Better question might be, how much of your own money would you be willing to the coach of your choice.

Considering Alabama, Florida and Georgia are on the schedule every year; it’s almost certain that Tennessee will have 4-5 top 25 teams on the schedule.

In today’s coaching market; it would take at least $6 million to lure a moderately successful head coach from a power 5 school. If you want elite to take over this mess; it will take $8+ million per year.
