Yesterday's game was a mixed bag, showing us lots of reasons for excitement and just as many reasons for concern. Oklahoma also dominated their game but didn't appear overly impressive. This is a large game for both teams, their conferences and the nation as a whole, and it's happening right in our back yard of Knoxville.

Do you think the Vols are up to the challenge? Can Hurd and AK continue to run at a high level against a tougher defense? Can Dobbs and the WR's hook up consistently, especially if OU loads the box and forces UT to make plays through the air? Can the Vols take advantage of a weaker OU O-line to stuff Perine and the run game, as Akron did? Can the secondary rebound from a subpar showing and prevent big plays from a talented OU passing game? Will the return game continue to help the Vols out, and can Medley make his FG's? Most importantly, will our efforts be enough to pull off a huge home win?

I'm just interested in gauging exactly how people are feeling about this game right now.

you can't make a VN poll without making the thread and then adding the poll. That's what I was doing.

I think we could win by 10 but I'm also assuming that our d-line gets their qb very frustrated, their newer guys that seemed rattled in their first game will be very rattled in Neyland, and that our tempo eventually wears their D down. Def don't think it will be a blowout one way or the other.

I voted OU wins by 7 or less. But before you call me a NegaVol let me explain why:

Last year every time I voted in a poll like this before a big game i voted for the Vols and we lost them all. This time, I'm using reverse-psychology on my luck. I figure if I pick OU to win, the Vols will walk away victorious.

Here's to my strategy working! If we win I expect you all to come here to thank me! :)

My prediction is OU -34 Tennessee - 17. My reasoning is The Vols gave up 30 to Bowling Green. I have only seen a 15 minute video of the UT v. BGSU game, and all of those offensive highlights. So I can't speak to how those 30 points were scored, but it was still 30. OU's receiving corps is so much better than last year. Mayfield is better than I had hoped for. The question for me is, If Tennessee allows Bowling Green to score 30 points, how can they stop OU's offense?

After six hour lightening delay OK defense falls asleep during TV timeout and Dobbs scores the winning TD on a very quite QB sneak. :)
