I like the idea of Dormandy, but the past two L's are not on the shoulders of Josh Dobbs. Dobb's should remain the starter, but after seeing how versatile he can be, why not throw a wrench in the gameplan of an UGA or a Bama by having two good Qb's on the field at the same time?
As a wrinkle to the offense, as florida did with Tebow and Leak, it might not be a bad idea.

Hell we once had a reciever as a QB... Remember James Banks lol.

We now have a running back as a QB

Agreed. Dobbs was sacrificing his body big time in that Florida game. I worry especially about Hurd who is consistently having to break multiple tackles just to get back to the LOS. The scheme/playcalling is hanging both out to dry.

Let's also remember that Dobbs was getting hit so much he fumbled 3 times. Fortunately 2 went out of bounds but if he keeps playing this way we won't always be so lucky.
Also, North (I think) had a play that probably should have been ruled a fumble - it looked like he completed the catch before he turned and got blindsided. So when Butch says we were 10 seconds away from being 4-0 while that's true it's also true that the turnover stats could have looked a lot uglier vs UF in which case they would have probably won the game easily.

Urban, Spurrier, Saban would all have the balls to put Dormady in if he could help the team win. I don't think Jones does.

Urban would make sure his defense was on point and Dobbs and Hurd both would be loved by vol fans everywhere all the way to the playoffs. Ask Tim Tebow! Dobbs isn't the problem.

I think it's safe to say this wasn't the response the OP was expecting. Good to see so many supporting Dobbs.

My original post, if you read it, wasn't against Dobbs. It was pro Dormady getting playing time. I even said 15-20 snaps a game.

When you posted this comment did you not feel the poll/question would have been equally split? Because, after all, it is......
