UT Basketball is freaking awesome right now. We lost the best coach we have had after the most successful run in history due to NCAA violations, hire a new coach that takes us back to the sweet 16, run him off with egg on UT's face, and hire a guy with shady past that now appears to have a shady future. By the way, Kentucky is real good again.

9,121 Auburn basketball stadium
21,678 Tennessee basketball stadium

That's about 12,557 difference, I'm sure we have sold 12,000 plus.

Pearl lie...and between womanizing and the NCAA violates we got because of him...he can go.

Pearl was a womanizer? Is there actual evidence of this or is this another VN rumor tumor?

Wish I knew more about him before making the call...

if he's not great, and can be replaced by someone better, then cut him loose and take no chances with the NCAA.

if he's a great coach (or at least the best we can have) then stand behind him and deal with whatever the NCAA says.

Won't really matter by the year 2021. We will be free from them by then anyways.

That's kind of a stupid question don't you think? Has the NCAA actually accused Tyndall of something or are they investigating the school? Should Tennessee fire Calipari for what he's done at Kentucky? Should the NCAA investigate Tennessee because they hired Tyndall? Is Tennessee part of the NCAA investigation at UNC? Should posters be banned for starting stupid threads?
Many, many questions with no answers.

HOW can TENNESSEE fire Calipari?

:thud:

No,sadly most of you guys are being apologetic to the fact that we hired Tyndall. It's his fault he obviously committed infractions... Fire him and save the University's current PROUD program. We have the money. Lets steal Bruce. We have the money. We are TENNESSEE.

The question is should Hart be fired!!! How can you hire someone with previous NCAA Issues.

Lets face it, Hart botched the football coaching search process. But we lucked into a good coach.

He botched this hire as well. How can you hire someone less than 24 hours after another coach has turned you down and do a complete investigation of the second coach? you can not!!!!!!!!!

How did Hart botch the football search? The AD always has a top ten list of coaches they will hire in case anyone leaves. Hart already had his due diligence of both coaches before the first was interview.

Should Tennessee fire Donnie Tyndall now in light of the investigation?

Why or why not?

heck yes.....let's fire him just like the dumb masses in Durham that wanted the Dook lacrosse coach fired...damn, man...this is all you have to do?

EASY! The same way the NCAA can punish Tennessee for hiring Tyndall, especially after the NCAA told them there was nothing against Tyndall that they should be worried about.

Exactly. It's not like Tyndall was black listed or anything. He was a reputable and legitimate candidate who many think highly of as a coach.

As details become available, UT can assess its hire. Two things disturb me more: the tendancy across media to decide every issue by poll (from the inane to serious, from Kim Kardasian to Ebola) and the tendancy on this board to want a scapegoat to fire from the most recent coaching staff. Maybe the crowd with the fire Cuonzo petition can get geared up on this one. Meanwhile UK rolls on laughing at us.
