Sit him for the rest of the year so he can decide whether he wants to be a thug or a football player.

if the charges are dropped then he didnt do anything wrong, maybe he was just trying to make sure those guys didnt get in trouble... lol

should be done for the year and if guilty gone for good. if this were florida, we would be screaming if meyer decided to play them pending the investigation...they have to pay a penalty.

I heard that they don't have a curfew during the week, and that's it's only on Friday nights before a game on Saturday.

The only way we see Jackson is with his photo plastered on the TV as the commentators mention the story and then relate any bad UT break during the game to the situation surrounding those three guys.

Kiffin will lose a TRUCK LOAD of credibility if he allows any of the players to return this season.
If,if,if JJ is innocent, he still made terrible decisions regarding what went down and especially since he was not in that good of standing anyway.

If this were Florida, the three would be suspended for the opening kickoff of the Old Miss game.

That Yourbane makes his guys toe the mark.. No foolishness down there.

If you guys would put yourself in Jackson's position...I have a daughter who is a freshman at Tennessee Tech and if she went through this I would 1st want to see if she was guilty or guilty by association, then I approach the situation on how to deal with her.
What I'm hearing is he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. If he is released and Kiffin is told he had no idea what was going on then play him and put some restrictions on him that are more severe than the other players. Good luck to all these kids and I hope some good comes out of this for them.......

Even if it was the wrong place at the wrong time, JJ already has like 2 stikes against him. He may get lucky and not get kicked off the team if the charges are dropped against him but I would be willing to bet pretty much anything, he wont be playing Tommorow!!

The time for leniency is over. My parents pay well over $10,000 a year for me to go attend school at UT and these football players are essentially being given that much to play here. Its time they are appretiative and act like somebody or be told to leave. There are little kids watching all over the country seeing these football players they look up to robbing people, selling drugs, etc... They should be held to a higher standard than the rest of the students here. Janzen should be stripped of his scholarship until he can prove he deserves it.

Exactly! Having had our share of legal affairs, if ANYTHING and I do mean anything comes up about a player from a harmless facemask to a missed curfew, the first thing that gets brought up is their arrest and troubles. If you want to hear about this incident everytime JJ is "suspected" to be in trouble then you can let him play the rest of the season.

If you suspend him the rest of the season, the spotlight is immediately taken off him and put back on to the team as a whole. You don't have to have annoying writers and commentators pointing back to this incident everytime they read out your lineup.

Jackson is a great player and i would love to see him stay on the field but he was suspended last gave for violating team policy and supposedly has failed a drug test. So he has been here less than a year and is already causing trouble. Compare him to Pacman Jones, Jones was never charged and proven guilty but still delt with accordingly because he was there when crimes happend, and with the people who commited them.

The drug test strike is dumb.. I think punching someone in the face or gouging someones eyes is far worse yet lead to less severe punishment.. well atleast if you play for florida

Exactly. You can't suspend him if all of the charges are dropped and he wasn't aware of what was going to happen. Hanging out with Richardson and Edwards isn't any reason to punish him, the same can be said for being out that late. I'm sure JJ isn't the only member of the football team that hangs out with Richardson and Edwards, he just happened to be the guy that was with then when all of this happened. As for being out that late, it has been reported that the only time the team has a curfew is the Friday night before a game.

If he didnt have anything to do with the robbery, (if it was a robbery) why not let him play. Why do we have a lynch mob mentilty. Your innocent until proved guilty...right?
