Voted I'm starting to wonder and here's one reason why....Arky won 3 games last year, Kentucky won 2..... both are significantly further ahead in their rebuild than Tennessee.

At least we know that less than 15% are likely to be bashing the coaching staff.

You know, 5-7 years ago I'd be totally behind a post like this, and after this weekend I understand the anger, but let it go and let's just move on. This is getting super embarrassing. If we go 6-6 this year, I will be thrilled and I'm happy for this team righty now. They're invested and working right now. We feel failure for them but they are wearing this failure currently, let's pump the breaks.

Do to recent outrage over the UF loss and many claiming this was a MUST win for bUTch.....

What do you think should happen with him?

-Wait and be patient and certainly don't judge him on this one game

-Fire him now on the spot

-Keep him for many years

-Too early to tell (17 games in)

I bet you signed the petition didn't you?

I'm not at the point of placing the blame on him, YET. The OC should be held accountable for a lot of the failures (unless Jones has been overruling him on play calls, which I don't believe is happening)

I'm still all in but if the objective is to try and win football games why is this scheme being ran every play all the time? UT just don't have the personnel and they did not have the personnel last year. Last years team was good enough to make a bowl and did not. This team was good enough to beat Florida and will be hard pressed to make a bowl this year now. I just don't think the staff is putting the players they have in the best possible situation to win. Is the objective to win games now or instill an offense that we work toward impoving on?

Jones is a vfl, Loyalty says we support and help him and our players by showing love, the vols are a huge part of my life, my 3 year old daughter knows every word to rockytop, we do vol pictures every year and we love Tennessee and I'm so proud to live here and the vols are family win or lose but negative bs helps no one think of all the people who try to tear down in your life BC you had a failure or wrote you off for one mistake were would you be support or coach support our vols# family

Bajakian's job is being questioned. Nobody is looking to fire Butch.

Our O-line is costing us games.

How often do losing head coaches become championship winners by changing coordinators? The offense is Butch's, anyway.

I love that the "too early to tell" option includes the exclamatory "he's the guy!"!!

This year has no "must wins" for CBJ.
I thought UT would go 5-7 6-6 or 7-5 before the season and that wasn't including beating UF...nothing has changed except our scores were much closer to UGA and UF than I thought preseason.

As negative as I am, even I don't think he is anywhere close to deserving to be fired. This is mainly because he is recruiting at a phenomenal pace. As long as that continues he should stay for at least 1 or 2 more years even if his on field results don't improve as much as they should.

Having said that, he is not getting this team to exceed expectations at all, and I am beginning to suspect that he is just a good recruiter like Zook who is setting the table for the next guy. Hope he proves that wrong but the signs on the field are very disturbing.

butch should get 2-3 more years to get all his players since dooley left a disaster with little talent due to terrible recruiting

Too early to judge not too early to tell. There is a difference

If you don't think saying "too early to tell, he's the guy!" is a loaded option, I can't help you. It's called push-polling, and dishonest people do it when they try and get data to support their own position.

And neither does anyone else. These posts are just away to attack a position that doesn't' exist. I'd like to see a poll of the people claiming that they support Butch no matter what, showing how many of them were also saying that about Dooley. It could be proven going through old posts I guess.

About right. Idiots calling for his head are in very small minority

How about the option of: Judge him by this game and realize he isn't anything great and also realize that he can't be fired at this point and you would never let Dave Hart hire another football coach anyway, so you just have to accept that your team will probably continue being subpar while just about every other program improves around you and so you might as well cultivate an appreciation of whiskey and other fine liquors...will that fit?

There you have it folks, true troll. A VFL would have stated "our team".
