I'm gonna say '2' and secretly whisper to myself '3'.

I think UGa (away) and Bama are the long poles.

:good!:

The real question is how much of a gauntlet is it.

How many of those teams end the season ranked?

I don't get the fear of Georgia. They'll be worse than last year and we managed to beat them spotting them 21 points. I predict a double digit victory in Athens

This is a valid question. There's a very real possibility that only Bama of that foursome ends the year ranked.

Odds are, though, that 2 or 3 of them will. Not all 4.

Don't let that fool you into thinking it's not a gauntlet, though. Even in years they're unranked, these SEC games are never easy.

We will go 4-0. We have Florida and Bama at home. I think those will be the two most difficult games. Georgia has coaching changes and a new quarterback. Ta&m has an experienced quarterback but he has not played under the new system. I don't recall their defense being great. I truly believe we can win them all.

NCAA is so diff yr to yr, fla could be a 6-6 team or win the east. Ga, the same could be said for with a new staff but loads of talent. Bama could finish 8-4 or be Bama again. May sound funny but teams like Va Tech or aTm could be national contenders or could both miss out on a bowl. Hard to call it in July. If teams are as they appear I think Vols win 2-3 of that 4 game stretch. Hopefully including both east teams as wins at the least.

I see us going 3-1 and the 1 is not what most probably think. I think we beat Bama, but A&M is a trap game if there ever was one.

I don't see how people are classifying A&M as a trap game. Yes, it's in the middle of a tough stretch, but trap games are usually those you expect to win rather easily and might overlook before a huge matchup.

Yes, we play Bama the next week but Kyle Field is one of the largest and most electric stadiums in the country. They are a top 4 program in the West over the past 5 years and they have a QB that has already beaten us once (granted he played a much worse team).

I just don't see Butch and the team looking past this one. Just cause we could lose it doesn't make it a trap game. The Vols will be prepared.

I voted 3-1 hoping for 4-0. The loss could be any of them but guessing Bama or A&M.

Oh, please. It's a gauntlet. Rankings don't always tell the full story. That 4-game stretch is about as tough as it gets across the country. Other teams might have a stretch just as tough, but there is not a 4-game stretch out there that will be harder.

Defending SEC East champ that will be more experienced, Georgia who is always loaded with talent and it's in Athens, A&M is an unknown but Kyle Field is a very good venue and they have fielded some very good teams in the past, and Alabama will be Alabama.

This is as delusional as voting "0-4"

I think we have a better chance of 4-0 than
0-4. #120 is improving with experience and talent. Those other teams may be better this year and that will make for some good games, but if they have a dip at all, that means trouble for them.

#120 is all about how great can they be this year. It's hard to wait and see, but we have to.

I sure like our chances of being great.

I don't understand people thinking UGA will be a more likely loss than Florida. Athens isn't that tough of a place to play, we beat Georgia last year, Georgia is breaking in a new coach and new QB this year, Florida has been ripping Georgia a new one lately, and Florida has an 11 year streak on us.

Florida is the tougher game by far.

What is the deal with all these people saying we're losing to GA??? New coach, QB, etc... We beat them by 10 (or more) in Athens! Once again we need to worry about FL! That's our monkey. Everything else will take care of itself, including bama.

GBO!!!

I think if we beat FL that will inject a lot of confidence in Team 120. A lot! I think we beat UGA also. Teaxa A&M will be a toss up but we pull it out in a close one. By the time we get to Bama our boys could be tired and banged up of the previous 3 games. So I picked 3 of the 4 with our one lose coming to the hands of Bama because of this 4 game gauntlet.

I voted 3-1 though my heart says 4-0. There's always that damn weird game they call an upset. I would call a TA&M loss an upset. The others--the game is played on the field and not paper. The variables never end.

Our fans are scared of UGA for some unknown reason. We gave them all they could handle the past three years, just like Florida. We are a better team this year than we were at any point over the last 3 years. We spotted UGA 21 points last year and beat them. We gave them a fumble in our end zone two years ago.

GA has talent like always.
Richt lost several games he shouldn't have.
Smart could be another Richt or he could be Saban jr. People are concerned over the unknown. The talent is there.

I love how everyone on this thread automatically counts the Alabama game as a loss... We almost beat them last year AT Bryant-Denny.... why the h*** would we not be able to beat them this year at home??? Some of y’all need to just get out of this cry baby mindset and be positive..

Bama also dropped like 6 interceptions where Dobbs threw it straight to them. We also played them at the end of a 7 game stretch. We needed our bye after UGA, putting it after Bama is a waste
