Have you looked at WSUs stats? I would think notIf you enjoyed watching a Butch Jones UT team run jet sweeps from the shotgun on the 1 yard line because they had zero power running game, you'll absolutely LOVE Mike Leach's team having to pass every time on the one yard line because he has even less of a power running game. Defense? What defense, his philosophy is let the other team score quickly so he can get the ball back and score. You'll see some of the worst beat downs in history if the guy shows up as UT football coach. You'll see teams in the SEC pile up scores in the 60s and 70s against us. I am an obvious no.
Apparently you don't watch them play. Leach has a very good defense that is ranked about 15th nationally. The difference between Butch's goal line offense and Leach's is tha Leach's offense scores touchdowns. If you enjoyed watching a Butch Jones UT team run jet sweeps from the shotgun on the 1 yard line because they had zero power running game, you'll absolutely LOVE Mike Leach's team having to pass every time on the one yard line because he has even less of a power running game. This would be a good hire for hire for the Vols. We lived in the Seattle area before and know that WSU and Pullman is a tough place to have a winning program. Leach turned their fortunes around. I see no reason at all that he will get the Vols back on track.
