He schtick will get old when he's barely making .500.

He coached Big-12 Texas Tech 127 games over 10 years. ONLY WINNING the Southern Division ONCE. 84-43 = 0.66 winning..ok...good, but...

Most recently

He's coached Pac-12 Washington State 75 games 6 years. NEVER winning the conference division. 38-37 = 0.5066, over .500 by ONE GAME. Lose that and he's got a losing record over 6 years. IN FACT Leach is only 0.52 in conference play OVER 6 YEARS.

Now go look up his rant against officiating fine, his off field shennanigans, his firing from Texas Tech and losing all lawsuits and appeals he brought.

A resounding NO.

He could be a great recruiter and offensive mind!! With the right players and staff this team could win 7-8 next year!!!

I love winning and UT hasn't won in forever. But, mostly I watch football as a source of entertainment. I want to be entertained when I watch games. I haven't been in many years.

Mike Leach was one of my top choices before Butch was let go.

I wanted Leach, Kiffin or Petrino in no particular order.

I, personally, would be extremely excited and entertained with the hiring of Mike Leach.

I agree with UT Dutchman. At this point can we do better? Maybe Kiffin but thats not happening.

Leach is absolutely perfect. DoesnĀ’t care about the media perception either. Nobody in all of college football does more with less...the complete anti-Butch!!

Dude is a great coach. Few people are complaining about his language.....

Butch Jones was a foul mouth. Dooley cursed. We all know Kiffin said whatever he wanted to players. Occasionally even Fulmer used cursed words. Majors was a cursing pirate like Leach. General Neyland cursed like a sailer.

It's just that Leach doesn't care what people think because he's honest. I like that the most about him.

No one is complaining that Saban is a screaming cursing machine.....

Hire him? I don't think Currie has the authority to do that any longer. He's in the midst of being neutered prior to being released to the homeless shelter.

This would be a good hire for hire for the Vols. We lived in the Seattle area before and know that WSU and Pullman is a tough place to have a winning program. Leach turned their fortunes around. I see no reason at all that he will get the Vols back on track.

First sentence is great example how beaten down this fan base is. We've come to believe we don't deserve to be great. And every time an incompetent, and or unsuccessful, coach leaves we tell Haslam "Thank you, Sir, may we please have another!"
