I've come around on Mike Leach.

Think he'll be a great hire.

No nonsense coach with the stones to go for it on 4th and goal from the 1 inch line unlike Butch Jones.

Palmer is talented the most.

Leach is fun, but I vote no for the simple reason that I want to win a title, not just have some good years. I don't think Leach will ever even sniff a title. He had Texas Tech 12th one year, and has never ended the year with Washington State ranked. Much more inclined toward the guys who have shown promise but haven't yet shown what their peak is. In fact, I'd rather have the complete unknown of someone like Tee over someone who has already shown that he's not first tier.

Well, no. 93% of the people on this board who cared to vote disagree with me. And from comments like: "The press conferences will be worth it..." I'd say that they don't actually disagree with my statement, they've just grown so jaded that they'd be satisfied with Butch's 9-4 bottom of the top 25 finishes if he were as entertaining as Leach. I'm not satisfied with that.

Your argument does not hold water. comparing those schools and their puny resources to the budgets that could be afforded to him here... He has always done so much more with so much less, I will be so excited to see what he does with more...
