Personally, I would support Sumlin; however, I have to wonder if he would be treated the same way Cuonzo was treated.

Miles is not better than Sumlin. Miles refused to update his offense, held maybe the easiest job to recruit to in the country (up there with Texas), and made some of the worst in-game decisions I’ve ever witnessed. All you Les Miles supporters are insane.

How many championships has Sumlin won?
LSU recruiting is easier (not sure how that impacts the quality of Miles btw) but Texas has plenty of talent and Sumlin had loaded rosters every year. How many times did Sumlin out coach Miles? Heck even Butch out coached Sumlin.

Maybe take a look in the mirror before calling people insane.

Kevin Sumlin is a joke. If you want to see him chewing gum, not taking blame, and generally making excuses, he's your man. He also won't beat the biggest rivals (1-11 against LSU and Bama).

He'll also lose to teams he shouldn't (lost to State and Ole Miss last year; UCLA this year).

He's not going to improve your recruiting much. But, the amount of rap music played in the stadium will increase.

He's sub-.500 in the SEC without Johnny Football. A&M has more resources, fertile recruiting, and more money (and not a moron for an AD).

He will fail miserably at UT if hired. We (A&M) struggled through the last 4 years of mediocre football. He won't take UT anywhere.

Anyone who thinks Tee Martin would be a better head coach that Kevin Sumlin is drinking too much orange koolaid. Sorry but it's true!

I would accept Sumlin, but I do not see why we are settling for another SEC school's fired coach. I guess at this point we almost have to and he is better than some disasters we have avoided. However, he never accomplished much at TAM and he seemed to choke in some big games. Yes, SEC West is a tougher conference, but I do not want a guy where I have to justify that because his conference record was not good. I'd still call Kiffin, Miles, or Tee first though. I know Miles was fired by LSU, but that guy has a remarkable record.

Yup. Shoulda been considered long before a lot of these other coaches.

Not a perfect coach by any means, but there's a lot of positives to take away from his stint at A&M. If he can learn from his mistakes there we could have something special.
