I voted no. He is just the worst in the worst position. Meaning he is a bad QB that for 2 years has had to start because we have no one better. Tough position for him to be in.

Just heard on a 790 the zone in Atlanta that Crompton may be the worst QB to play at a BCS school. What do you guys think?

Maybe, but I don't think so. As much as I dislike Crompton, I feel his suckiness is a result of his surroundings. He plays in the toughest defensive conf. In america. Plus it's not easy playing in front of 90,000+ fans each week. My point is, I think JC would be a decent QB at another school... Probably like a Miami (OH) or something.

I must complement you on your post. I thought everything coming from you regarding JC was tainted by blind emotion. Kudos to you. :hi:

Crompton is not the worse. The receiving corp is the worse. They don't do anything right. Much less get open. I couldn't imagine much improvement with Peyton at the helm with the lack of talent we have receiving.

i posted maybe, b/c he has really been let down by his receivers. Now some TN Qb's that I remember was awful was A.J. Suggs and C.J. Leak, Suggs more than Leak. I feel that if Crompton had a little less incrompitent receiving crops. against Auburn he may have played well enough to change the minds of some on this forum. But Crompton is a mental midget. He lacks the mental tools for the SEC game while having all the phyiscal ability. I think that is why people get so frustrated with him...

I still remember watching the LSU game a few years ago and thinking he had a chance for a really good future. He didn't dominate, but I remember thinking he was pretty impressive for someone going up against a defense like LSU in his first game with meaningful playing time.

He is the worst ever....Best thing that ever happen was his knee injury
Yeah, that injury led to Randy Sanders' epic performance as a starter at Boston College. That turned out great. Brilliant post on your part.

No. Not by a long shot. Pick Nick is because he can't beat him for the starting job.

Didn't TN have 10 wins in 87? and also, while throwing for 2200+ yards in 88'...did we not go 5-6? He had Alvin Harper and Reggie Cobb in 88' for goodness sake...Andy Kelly should have started the whole season in 88' and we prob would have won 10 games again. and in regards to the 87' loss to BC..it was on the road...I thought u were suppose to be the Dali Lama of TN football...I truly think u are more talk then show.

What do u do, sit around all day playing with yourself looking for insults to throw out? Brilliant post on my part? Dude, I make more in one day then u make in a month ( I saw your post 2 months ago bragging about how much u made)....get a life, or a family.

Get a grip.

It was his 2nd game in a new system. They guy hasnt had any stability as far as coaching staff, schemes, and or game plans throughout his entire career. Crompton may not play to some of yall's standards, but Im willing to bet he sucks far less than some of you experts.

Nicely done...

to paraphrase tommy lee jones in 'no country for old men,': "if he ain't, he'll do till the real worst one gets here."
