Clay Travis nails it but he is still under the illusion that the TN admin cares about football. They don't. They couldn't care less if the team wins or loses. Just placate the sheep every few years with a crap football hire, they'll support any loser...and move on.

This poll should be 95% no with those 5% voting yes having some sort of mental disability.

Baaaaaaaah Baaaaaah.

I'm not gonna lie. I was expecting a bigger name but I'm content with the hire. Not exactly happy with it but ill give it a chance.

I like the direction by choosing a guy who knows how to light up the scoreboard. No doubt he knows that side of the ball. As always, recruiting will dictate whether or not he can succeed. He has an uphill battle but I think he’s a good fit in this climate. He’ll bring energy and excitement. If he can flash some early success recruits will start to give us a look.

I’ll go on record...I like this move.

Despite all the “names” thrown around in this search, the pool was very underwhelming. A home run didn’t exist. Freeze was best chance at early success but honestly JH brings that same style to Knoxville. Again... recruiting will dictate. If he manages to succeed in that arena with his style of ball, it could get fun.

What’s to see in Knoxville?

Recruits aren’t young professionals. Nebraska has the same things we have, the only difference is it takes recruits less time to get here.

But Nebraska also plays in the weakest division outside of the PAC 12

Need more options. I’m excited about the offense but really felt like we could’ve done better. I perused UCF’s boards and the majority couldn’t believe a program like Tennessee would be dumb enough to hire Heupel (as in literally said no way the rumors are true), then celebrated us paying to get rid of their coach. They’re only sad about the timing and where it leaves them for next year but feel they’d rather suffer a bit next year and find another Frost than continue on Heupel’s downward trajectory

My opinion on him is improving with each passing hour.

Really curious about a few things.
- Who will be his DC and what kind of defense will he run?
- Who is he going target for the rest of the 2021 class?
- How is going to use Dee Beckwith, and Jimmy Holiday?

The more I think about it and read about it and after watching his intro and listening to Danny White, he is about as good as we can get. Every coach who has reached 10 wins has had a dip. Granted he inherited an incredible team. He has never built a program but not many out there that have done it want to leave what they have built. Our U simply wasn’t going to hire Hugh. Let’s hope that move benefits us. Regardless, his resume is better than most we have hired. He is a likeable. I’m behind him. I hope Steele will stick around and help him build something special. He will be a commodity after that as an HC and a program builder. I did like the idea of hiring Odom if he spilts.

Can’t lie, I didn’t really like this hire.

However, since we’re stuck with him now, might as well give him a chance.

Voted yes because the contract is signed, Pruitt is gone, I do not believe the OP about Tennessee getting "hammered", and if they do, they were, and they are. We need to get our heads out of our azzes, quit venting in VN, and support the University/team from here on out. Just keep posting all this negative stuff, don't support the university, bad mouth players and staff, question every dang decision, and enjoy losing to Vandy next couple years.

Good enough for 5-7 to 7-5 on a regular basis I’m sure.

Most UT fans that still watch should be fine with that.
