That crap is all espn and the other networks are taking about from our game instead of how we took ole miss down to the wire with an undermanned team in a year some people expected us to win 3-4 games tops. Kiffin is eating it up loving the attention, and all UT gets is bad PR taking away from the effort our guys put in. Those SEC network guys calling the game and on the after show turned my stomach with their lecturing about it. I hope they can track down the idiots throwing stuff and ban them from
Coming back. Nothing is worth risking someone getting hurt over someone’s tantrum over a ballgame.
People did get hurt, my daughter is an Ole Miss freshman, besides the tripping, pushing , obscenities and the spitting she received her friend got hit and received a laceration on his head requiring sutures. Nobody hears about all the crap that was done inside the stadium toward Ole Miss fans. I’m born and raised in this town, graduated from this school , have travelled to Gainesville, UGA, and Birmingham and many others and can never remember a time that I or anybody with me experienced the level of ******** that ole miss fans did according to what has been reported to me.

Let’s look at the frustration Vols fan have at this point With Kiffin.
1. First press conference at UT calls out Florida and Alabama coaches for no reason at all.
2. Hires underage college girls and takes them to S. Carolina to recruit young high school players.
3. Gets into local trouble with a car dealership involving a car wreck and a young woman.
4. Leaves our school for his “dream job” in the middle of the night and takes recruits with him to USC.
5. Uses fake injuries to enhance his defense.
6. Plays the martyr when fans get pissed while taunting the student section all night long.

The SEC is a two faced organization when they spout the rules but let’s this low class POS get away with nothing Short of deceit . We all know people like POS Kiffin. The saving grace is they always fall hard. His ex wife Im sure could tell us what happened here and why she left his a$$ while here in Knoxville.
Ole Miss fans hang on…LSU is calling. If he does it once he’ll do it again.

So how is tossing some stuff on the field more dangerous than 50,000 or so people stampeding onto the field at Kentucky or A&M? I think a little perspective is in order here. It may have been an embarrassing episode, but people on TV are acting like 9/11 just happened all over again.

Blame Kiffin. He started this whole mess Saturday night. He’s the reason for the outburst. Look at the source Bud and quit the complaining!

Yeah, I wonder what Ole Miss got penalty-wise when they pelted the Basketball court in 2019 at closer range. Did they(Sankey et al) just wait a while and let it slide through the cracks. Just wondering.

Don't know, but when fines are talked about UT should be bring this up and finding out what they were fined.

Night game, sold out Neyland, alcohol sales, and all afternoon to get tanked. Then in walks the devil himself Kifturd... What could go wrong there?

Has it been confirmed that our band left because they were being pelted by the Ole Miss crowd in the upper deck?

What happened both times was obnoxious and wrong, but one transgression doesn't justify, diminish, or excuse the other. There is no justification for what happened on Saturday night. It was stupid and pointless behavior engaged in by a small number of idiots who embarrassed an entire fan base. Take responsibility for the behavior, move on and be better.

I honestly believe UT would have likely won the game had the so-called "fans" not forced the Vols into over 20 minutes of deadtime delay when UT finally appeared to have Mississippi on the ropes. Mississippi was panicking. Our so-called "fans" gave Mississippi a completely free chance to regroup for the final 54 seconds and caused the Vols to lose the momentum. So now we have stupid fan behavior just adding to the legacy of years of institutional incompetence.

On the flip side, my son (UT fan) took his girlfriend and family (5 Ole Miss fans) and were treated well. There was the usual bantering and one couple was a little too "in your face". That couple was calmed by other UT fans nearby.

The end-of-game frustration is shared by many but the actions of throwing items are not acceptable.

This is awful. As a Vol fan/grad, I'm ashamed your daughter had to experience this.

I really hate that happened to your daughter and her friend. No excuse for behavior towards anyone like that. It just takes a few idiots to mess things up for everyone.

We need to get over this and quit worrying about it and move forward.
Crap Happens .
It did.
Bad look temporary.
We got hosed no doubt.
But it is not going to change anything.

If I had the money I would send 85 sets of Crutches to Lane Kiffins home along with 102,000 Golf Balls with printing that states this is for you and the crutches are for your team.

I’m not going to crucify anyone but we’ve gotta be better than this as a society.
I think we should sent his team 85 sets of Crutches and we should send him 102000 Golf Balls with a card that states thanks for a wonderful evening.

You do realize that the crew that worked our game is the same Crew that worked the Mississippi State and Memphis Game.

Yes but no reason for that action. Innocent people safety was in jeopardy. No reason for that.

Very disappointing that we have over 17% on VN condoning this bad sportsmanship. Booing a call is acceptable. Cheering when it appeared Matt Corral was injured was unacceptable. Throwing objects on to the field near the opponents bench was unacceptable. The Jerry Springer antics of those who want to get on camera and act out their anger is getting old quick. This doesn't mean the majority of people are classless, but the bad behavior of the minority is demeaning to the civility of society as a whole. Previous generations would take offense to behavior that we now accept as a new normal. But it is degrading to a polite, sober, and civil society of decency and honor.

During the 20 minute delay, players of both teams came together in good natured sportsmanship despite all the ugliness in the stands. The players understand sportsmanship. They don't applaud injuries or condone fan violence despite being the main combatants in the sporting contest and the competition between them. You would think that after a morning of reflection and the bad publicity it brought the university that nobody would be defending that spectacle.

Yeah, there were bad officiating calls that went against us. Yeah, something must be done to address fake injuries. But nothing will ever excuse the bad behavior on exhibition at Neyland last night or defending it in any way afterward.
Meh

Game never should’ve got that far. 1st quarter they should’ve stormed the field, grabbed that ref, and thrown him in the River. Have some divers in there in case he can’t swim, and because we’re nice.
I literally laughed out loud
