I don't think BB was a cancer on the football team, I don't recall him saying he wanted to run the ball more, or that the o-line needed to run block better in the media. I can't blame the guy for wanting to leave, but it saids something about a person when he leaves without talking to the head coach.
We need to stop talking about BB the story is getting really old.

Yes, I agree. This story is getting old. I never said he WAS a cancer. After all the drama that surrounded this story over the past several months, he would have been (future tense, not past) and if he was to fall behind Poole or any other back. Especially after having to compete like anyone else for the starting role. There is no telling what Kiffin promised him. I do not balme the kid for leaving BUT... the manner he left, states volumes about his character. That is a character we do not need on the team.

Who is "we" BTW? You cannot have been talking about much with only 3 posts. :)

Edit: Quoted my on post and not the one replying to. LOL

Dooley had his office door open to Bryce. If it's attention and to be "re-recruited" then he is embarrassing himself.

Can someone tell me if he is being released, going juco, or do we know?

What was there to handle? Dooley walked in and did what a coach does, period. I'm not sure there were many permutations available. I'm the coach, you're a player, if you want to play, freaking prove it. Otherwise, STFU and GTFO.

Dear Lord,

Please help my fellow Vol fans LET GO of the Bryce Brown saga (and kiffy to). Please help them to NOT start threads concerning either. I'm really worried about my VolNation brethren in this time of minimal recruiting news and no football. Please remove all memories of BB (and kiffy to) and fill their hearts with peace and hope for the upcoming season... Please act fast Lord before they totally freak out and start eating each other...

Amen..

If dooley would have promised some amount of playing time to bryce brown and his dad, it may have worked out differently. Bryce didn't want to risk sitting on the bench.

Dooley is doing a lot of things right with the way he's managing the team.

Let's hope that translates to better recruiting, and most importantly, on the field performance.

Kid was already part of the team. If a full year of working and sweating with your team isn't enough to get you out to practice, don't want you here. you may not like all of them , but surely you connected with someone. That was the greatest thing about sports the bond you made with teammates, the wanting to not let them down, the having each other backs, yall know what I'm talking about. Evidently he never got that last year, if not , wouldn't want him out there anyways. Oh yeah , HELL YEAH he handled it right!!!!

I give Dooley a marginal thumbs down on Bryce. In a way, he has contributed to the ongoing drama by not establishing deadline / not kicking him off. In truth, it probably doesn't even register on CDD's radar except when a reporter asks. I may be allowing the internet drama surrounding the young man to influence my vote.

Not knowing every little detail, I'd vote yes. Lot of people in a college football organization. Always multiple problems somewhere. Can't always resolve them to everyone's benefit unfortunately.

I think not establishing a deadline was a way of letting Bryce know that in Dooley's eyes, he was not worth the trouble. Dooley didn't lose sleep over it and neither did his other players. If BB wanted to come back, he was going to have to make up for his antics by busting his @$$ and proving that the team's best interest was in his heart. I think the way he left gave us a golden opportunity to see exactly what we will be missing out on: a scared little girl that doesn't have the stones to confront issues head on. With his attitude, I think we can expect BB to wallow in mediocrity whether it's in an orange jersey or a KSU jersey. Good job Dooley and good riddance Bryce.

Yes, it may be (is) quite the stretch. However, you get the point! If he had staid, he would have been a cancer to the team.

Your consistent negativety always seems to amuse me and I appreciate that! :p
You can get prima donna but you can't get stayed? Batting .500 isn't that bad.

You cant let the prisoners run the asylum. DD has to show he is in charge of the situation. He left the door open but he doesn't need to go begging some kid to come back.

What's awesome is that you can click on the number and see who is voting what....

It makes a lot of sense if you read through too many of these threads. It's always the same guys who whine about everything and are never happy with anything orange, but all of them have Vol in their name..... lol

Probably becuase at least half are doubles...
