Do you think he did the right thing or not?

This is my first attempt at starting a poll, so let's see how I do... :)

Everything I post is on the record...be a man!!!

I say YES CDD did handle the situation correctly...it was All in BB's hands to "unload the baggage and come be a part of something special, come be a part of THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS"

If he (BB) wasn't going to do that, he should have come in and had a sit down with , at the very least, his position coach.

I see no reason to blame this on Dooley....BB couldn't even meet him face to face...dude needs to grow up and at least own up to his decisions

Of course he did. He was acting like an adult. No way he can pander to the wishes of a kid that has already strung this team and fan base along once before. You get one chance to exact your will. Bryce had his and Dooley made him aware of that. Well done.

Lets face the facts BB situation didn't hurt that bad the Aaron Douglas situtation hurt like hell! and CDD handled both with class. Didn't we just get another running back the class

For the record, this poll was a result of discussions in this thread.

I wanted to see how VN polled on the issue.

Plus, it was a good chance for me to get a thread in the football section that doesn't get deleted nor merged. :p

of course he handled it correctly. It would have helped in the short run to re-recruit BB. But, in the long run it would have set the tone for how a prized recruit can act. If you coddle one player you will have to coddle them all.

He has a full plate, he doesn't need to go out of his way to accommodate Bryce. Bryce needed to go out of his way to come back, if that is what he wanted, if not, he should have just asked for his release.

Dooley handled it perfectly in my opinion.

That, to me, was one of the biggest issues. First you had BB waiting until a month or more beyond NSD to make a decision, then just skipping spring practice. Some of the elite NFL players may get away with that, but allowing that trend to start in college football would just render spring practice a meaningless exercise, IMHO.

exactly the point I was trying to make in the other thread that started this poll. DD wasn't about to drop everything he was doing to chase after Bryce.

Absolutely. No argument otherwise. You don't let a little pre-madonna walk over your program or your authority. If he doesn't want to be here, in the eyes of a coach, then get him the heck out.

Although I wish BB would stay and play for UT, you can't have someone with an attitude like that on your team. I wish him luck.
