I think Tee "insulted" Butch (who modestly viewed himself as UT football program) by turning down assistant position under him. Turns out Tee was correct about Butch and shoud actually get credit for that.

Oh, I had no idea that's what people find as an insult to the program. He just knew Butch was a joke before we did.

Jeremy Pruitt? Tee Martin? At this point we can’t be picky, hire a damn coach that wants to win the rest will take care of itself. I don’t get the whole hire a Tennessee guy, there’s not many that would be an upgrade from CBJ. Tee Martin or David Cutcliffe, that’s our options as far as a Tennessee guy.

This jacked up AD should’ve hired Mullen and he’d be recruiting right now instead we’re hoping we don’t keep Hoke around!

I'm all in for Tee. Best recruiter in college football and a TN guy. Having no head coach experience could be viewed as a plus. Fulmer could help him where needed. I think he would give his all everyday.

Sorry - I just don't understand the love for Brohm. He's coached at WKU and Purdue. He may have done a nice job but that does not mean he can succeed in the SEC.

I'd take a chance with Tee before I'd go with Brohm. Helton gives Tee a nice endorsement.

At this point, Brohm would be a grand slam.

Steele
Venerables
Sumlin
Kiffin
Miles

I my opinion, this a very good except for Sumlin and Miles would be worst case. I think I would add Pruitt on the list and Mike Leach. All could win here and are better than Schiano.

Yep, that would be my call this morning.

Won't happen. Currie would be too scared to go for Kiffin given his history with UT. He should but he won't. Tee Martin could be home-run but has an equal chance of being a total disaster. Kiffin would win here, and win consistently. But ho hum!

Exactly. Amazing recruiter, very young (could have a long tenure at UT as a successful HC), and accomplished. USC had the #13 offense and #81 defense. Tee Martin is a big part of USC being 10-2. Tee also is a semi-finalist for the Broyles Award (top 15 coordinators). If we don't get him, someone else will.

Tee could be great but he's a huge risk. We know what we'd get with Kiffin. He'd do well.

I am all in for Tee as well although right now I think Cut is still the best purely football knowledge wise, and he would get the most help from Peyton (recruiting and maybe even coaching QB's for example). But Tee would do wonders recruiting and really has the best chance to have the fans united behind him (which is hugely important and is one thing even Butch did fairly well early on).

Prefer an HC with P5 experience, and we could get one if Currie would spend the $$$ for one like he supposedly bidding for Mullen against Florida. Surely we can get a great coach for the $5 to 6.9 million Currie supposedly bid for Mullen before Stricklin won the war at $7M. Don't let Currie pull your legs any more. He had his eyes on Schiano from the beginning, not Mullen. If he offered Norvell or Frost a decent contract... don't think for a moment they hesitate to make the move to our facilities, resources, recruiting base, and the pay raise.

Tee Martin - develops WRs/QBs great recruiter can relate to players. Hire a great Staff around him and I’m good.

Venables- hire a good offensive staff, he’s a great recruiter.

Jeff Brohm - ehh I don’t get the hype but I’d be ok I guess.

I’d be ok with les miles and have Tee as OC/HC in waiting,

Kiffin - would win here!

Taggart - solid coach, big time recruiter, has good staff.

Sumlin - did pretty good in difficult west, good recruiter, good offenses, just needs good defensive staff.

Martin would need to show up hat in hand. He essentially insulted the program when interviewed before. Contrition would go a long way to redemption. Otherwise, leave him in the granola state.

BS.

UT is who should show up hat in hand! At one time Tee made Knoxville his home. Tee let it be known he wanted to get on the VOLS staff, over and over and over.

UT turned him down. Who? I don't know. You'd have to ask him that.

He turns down UT once and some of you act like he pissed on yore mama's grave.

So childish.
