I know this sounds bad, but how many here are actually hoping we'll lose this weekend so that Butch will (potentially) be fired immediately?

I’m supporting the players, not Butch.

They don’t deserve to be rooted against their own fans.

Regardless, Butch is gone either way because he’s not winning out the rest of this season.

Nope, never. We gonna have one of these for each game? I think itnwas pretty well established in the first one of these that there are only a couple of people that will say they hope they lose. The overwhelming majority will not hope for the vols to lose under any circumstances.

Theres's a big difference in hoping we lose and pulling for us to lose. That said, if the AD is entertaining any scenario where Butch stays, then I hope we lose. However, it simply is not in me to pull against the Vols when I'm watching them play. So I will be pulling for them during the game on Saturday.

Same here, bud. Regardless of the outcome of this or any subsequent game, if Jones is fired then Tennessee wins. Eventually all snake oil salesmen have to pack up and leave town once folks realize what they're selling.

I would never pull for the Vols to lose.

I think Butch will be gone at the end of the year no matter what happens from here on out.

Never, ever pull for our VOLS to lose- that's a sacrilege, worthy of water boarding, flogging, ass kicking, and just NOT RIGHT!!!!!

I always want UT to win but I stopped getting mad with losses years ago.

I want the VOLS to win and the PTB realize Butch needs to go regardless of the outcome.

I hate to say this... but if losing to Kentucky means something could change to make the rest of the season better for the existing players and the program better in the future... then yes I will forfeit winning 1 game for this

I'm pulling for Tenn, but will be happy with a win because I bet a UK fan they would win.

Polls are early but 1 in 3 will admit they are hoping we lose to Kentucky, if it means Jones will be fired immediately. I assume by immediately, the OP meant by Sunday or Monday after the game. Funny that it's sometimes how the poll question is asked and the answers that are provided that steer what people choose. I wonder what the poll outcome would be if the question was as follows:

If you knew for a fact that the Haslams and Currie would keep Butch not only for this year but allow him to coach 2018 IF the Vols beat Kentucky would you:

1. Cheer for Kentucky to win
2. Still cheer for Tennesse to win
3. Really don't care

I'll want them to win, but if it is another ugly, awful game similar to SC where they could potentially win in the end, it will be hard to pull for an ugly win against KY just so they can potentially defend keeping Butch around for another week or who knows how long.
The players and fans deserve better and that may only come with a loss.

Never hoping for a loss, just pretty much expecting it at this point. You can't fix everything that's wrong with this team, there is too much. Offense is laughable, defense isn't great, kicking game hasn't been good, return game is nonexistent without Berry. So it's pretty much everything. Coaching is rock bottom in the SEC and pretty close to that nationally. So it's a cluster.
