As many of you may be aware, former Coaches Phillip Fulmer and Doug Mathews are cohosting a new weekly radio program, entitled “Coach to Coach.” The website for that program is: Coach To Coach Radio | Breaking Down Tennessee Football. I am not sure whether they archive the program for permanent access, but the latest segment of that program is podcast for one week beginning noon of that Saturday. It can be heard by activating the “Listen Posted Each Saturday” link visible on the right sidebar of the home page. Once you have done so, you will note that the bye-week edition of “Coach to Coach” is accessible in four segments.

I deeply regret ever wanting Fulmer gone.

He was a former team captain, bled orange, won us a Nat'l title, was a recurring wiz, and most of all he was a VFL before we ever knew what one was.

I've said it before and I'll continue to say it, we need him back in the program in some capacity whether it be an administrative job in the athletic office or a job in the football program.

BRING BACK PHIL !

Would Phil bring back Bruce also?

Bruce was a good coach, but Phil was here for decades, won us a title, had us in the conference championship game 7 times and was a former team captain.

I love Bruce, but he left us because he broke NCAA rules and had a multi-year ban, casting a dark shadow of negitivity around our program.

Phil left us because Mike Hamilton was a jack@ss.

Fulmer needed to go, had to go. He's also indirectly responsible for our current plight. He lobbied hard for Hamilton to replace Dickey. Eric Hyman was going to be hired. Instead, we got the dumbass who wrecked the program.

Glad Fulmer is gone. Ecstatic that Hamilton is gone.

Show some class, man. The guy was an all conference guard and team captain for us in the past, worked as our O coordinator in the Alvin Harper, Carl Pickens, Andy Kelly, Chuck Webb days and after he became head coach led us to multiple SEC Championships and our first National Championship in nearly 50 years.

I kind of care what an actual former national championship winning coach that spent most of his life devoted to the team I love has to say about the team I love.

But that's just me.

If he was truly devoted to the team, he would've replaced Pat Washington, Woody McCorvey, Jimmy Ray Stevens, etc.

Great. He should've stayed loyal to the program instead of to his buddies.

I like being able to listen to both of these guys talk football. This has NOTHING to do with whether Coach Fulmer should have been fired. Both guys have good insight into college football and especially OUR college football team. My request is that they put the podcast on iTunes so that the podcasts are available longer than just the one week AND you can synch iPods up to get the broadcasts that way.

How have we been since he has been gone? Give up a lot to have a nine win season again. If you listen to it he bleeds Orange and he also thinks Butch is the man to get us back. I had the honor to get to meet him several times and sit and talk to him over the years and he is a great person. He went out of his way to make a impression on my oldest son and that is something I will never forget. It did not take long to see why he was a great recruiter. GBO!

I have also tried using the rss feed on my old zune and that doesn't seem to work either.
