I just stated in another post that I have not seen any direct quotes from any coach, including Schiano, that says TENN has contacted them. I've seen dozens of "media" reports. Not one report from the coaches mouth. Not one direct quote. Don't believe any media reports without a quote from the interviewee. If you have one, please let me know. I even looked at Currie's comments about Schiano, and he never said he offered and was going to hire him. He only defended his character and said that Ohio State had vetted him (still never said he offered). I never seen a quote from Gundy, Doeren, Sumlin, Gruden, Mullin, Frost, or Brohm. ONLY media reports. If I missed a direct quote, I apologize and please send a link.

I think it's true that these coaches are saying no....or else they would say they were never offered. Gundy..Brohm and Doeren have all turned it down. We know that.

Maybe they aren't directly saying they said "no" but someone close to them is reporting it and they aren't denying it.

Please don't just read what is posted here about coach so and so. Go read the article about it. It always, always, says according to a report or such and such is reporting. Never a comment from the coach. Why should they deny something somebody writes about them. And for even more proof, if they were all getting raises and staying, don't you think Gundy would already be making more than he is. I mean "supposedly he got a raise a few years ago because of us, he supposedly got a raise earlier this year, and now we supposedly offer him double his salary and Okie St matches. I'll bet $1K that his salary will not be be $7M next year. These are purposeful leaks. It gives the coaches publicity, so they don't say anything to deny, and the media runs with it because it gets them clicks, and fans love it because they want to have something to talk about. Not seen a direct comment yet on any TENN coaching offer. CALM

If you really don't think we've actually offered these coaches you're delusional. Jimmy Hyams source was a Brohm assistant who told him Brohm had agreed to be the coach and that he was coming with him. This was before DiPietro quashed it.

C'mon man... Coaches aren't going make statements about jobs they turned down. Occasionally you here "i haven't been in contact with them."

I am just saying not one coach has spoken about being offered a job. Your comment says the same thing. Jimmy Hyams heard from an assistant coach (you heard from Hyams, who heard from an assistant, who heard from Brohm) that did not make that comment to anyone except Jimmy Hyams. Why would Brohm let an assistant do his talking. Not to argue.

I agree. It is important to not Panic and let the 'crazier' fans among us make the entire program look like a nuthouse. We're seeing all kinds of rumors and people going way out in left field with their stories. Sticking with the basic facts as I see it, the Administration is a mess and needs to be 'cleaned up'. The national media is all over this because who doesn't like to report on a mess. It doesn't help for fans to throw kerosene on the fire. So yes, stay calm, think logically, and leave all the conspiracy theories for other fan bases. Coaches don't like to walk in to a freak show.

So you think Gundy tweeting out “Cowboy for Life” on the night reports said we made him an offer was a coincidence?
Currie has gone after them, unfortunately or maybe fortunately in some cases, no one is biting.

Just show me a quote direct from one of the coaches. That is all it will take and I will apologize and stop posting anymore concerning coaching hires. I'll even take a direct quote from the AD that they have given them a raise to keep them from signing with TENN. Not a tweet from a media outlet, or a tweet from a fan, or a report from someone, or sources say. Just a 1st person quote.
